Hello??

 

It snowed!!!! We usually don't get snow until January or February here, but at 5 pm it was snowing.

I knew my father was a complete asshole sometimes, but he really took the prize now.

We usually spend one day the weekend after Christmas with him and the woman he calls his wife (I can think of much more colorful words for her). My kids have been talking about going to see him for a month now.

Today he informed me, by email no less, that he isn't having us over this year, instead he, the thing, my brother, and his wife have rented a cabin up in the mountains, (didn't bother inviting us, or even asking if we might want to go) and that he will be sending the presents he bought for my children with my brother to my mom's house on Christmas Eve.

Ok, that pisses me off, but even more so is that I am the one who is going to be stuck explaining to my 7 year old daughter and 4 year old son that they won't be seeing their grandfather for Christmas.

Son of a bitch.

 

My grandpa got remarried a year after my grandma died (Mainly because he couldn't handle being alone) but he has changed so much, in a negative way.

He has refused to help my mom financially out and if he would have helped we wouldn't have lost our house. If my grandma was alive he would have done it in a heartbeat.

Recently my uncle died and after the funeral he took off in his car without saying good bye or anything, he "assumed" we knew where to go afterwards. It turns out that he went to some restaurant with his old time friend that none of us knew.

Stuff like that.

EDIT: and they get our "Christmas" presents a year ahead of time

...And they drop them off in the middle of the summer because that is the only time they pass through.

 

That's just awful.





Eagles win! Daaaamn right.

 

Makes it a bit easier knowing I am not the only one with a messed up family.

Ugh, I really should sleep.

 

My friends and I just sat in a circle around some beer bottles trying to throw pens into them.

And we weren't even drunk.

Ha.

 

I think I should start paying a wee bit more attention while posting in here and not just post whatever that is I'm thinking about.

Once again our teacher isn't there.

 

Goddamn tonight was awesome. I didn't see much of The Acacia Strain, but what I did see was good. A Day to Remember were fantastic and Suicide Silence were just fucking brutal. I've seen Parkway Drive six times now, but they've never been anything less than outstanding.

 

With one post per hour and 142 posts to go, that's going to take a long time
