One of my friends saw it and said it was a joke compared to the book, another one said it was pretty good. I guess it's a "you have to see it for yourself" kind of movie.
The funny thing is, I never noticed it for all this time. I don't think many people did. I guess it's because of the 'ili' in Twilight. Twilight, Twlight, looks the same.
It's funny how the movie is out here too, yet I haven't heard anyone talk about the book or the movie. Maybe it's because I passed the age where these kind of books are the most popular, but I don't believe they're even coming close to the Harry Potter books.
What a lot of my mates are saying, is that you've got to see the movie more than once. The first time, you may be overwhelmed by the cheese and glitter, but when you watch it again, you have enough presence of mind to fully appreciate/un-appreciate it. Yeah, probably a "you" thing.
Omg, lol. Going to see it tomorrow, although I must say, I'm not exactly as exited as I've been a couple of days ago.
Sorry for the double post. So, I finally watched it. Okay hmmmm, let's see: When it first started off by how everyone first met everyone I decided to take Arlene's advice and just watch it as a movie and forget about the book, so after that it actually wasn't all bad. I thought it was rather very close to the book and it didn't look that complicated to catch up with, if you haven't read the book I mean. Now, I don't really get why some people here said that it felt kind of "rushed", I didn't feel that it was, really. What I didn't like about the movie, though is how the Cullens were not even half as good looking as I imagined them to be, that was a disappointment. I mean, Rosalie? Carlisle? Weren't they supposed to be like super hot or something? Also, I know that Vampires are not for real and all, but did they have to make them look so fake? way too much facial foundation. Oh, one more thing, Robert Pattinson is a bad actor. There, I said it. They could've chosen someone better for the part. But all in all, it didn't suck. I had fun and that's all that matters.
I enjoyed it. It was good however i dont like that fact that he looks all shiny and shit when the sun touches him...dude should fucking burn like the vampires in every other universe lol
This doesn't have much to do with Twilight, but he was awful in the couple Harry Potter movies he was in as well. He's just kind of there.
That would definitely not fit in with the lore of the book though. In that world, almost all the common perceptions about vampires are myths.
So I "acquired" a copy of the movie and I thought it was alright. It wasn't great or spectacular but just ok. I hated how cheesy most of the dialogue was and the horrible special effects (climbing trees, flying...the sparkle on Edward...yeah). Laughable, really. I did like the forrest & meadow scene where Bella states what Edward is. I think that whole scene is my favorite and I really don't know why. I also loved when Edward "trys one thing" and kisses Bella on her bed. Pretty hot. And the prom scene at the end. lyke oh so dreamy, haha. I think Kristen Stewart did a good job portraying Bella. Robert Pattinson, however, needs to work on his acting skills. He was good but it was just awkward listening to him talk uttering those cheesy lines. Plus his accent slipped a few times. His good looks saved him imo, lol. Oh and it sucks that I want an "Edward" now. Hahaha.
well i think it could have fit..i mean they dnt got outside during sunny days becuase well. they would burn rather then they would look "different"..at least keep that much from Vamp mythology
