Tomorrow's turkey day, so I figured a thread where we discuss the awesomeness of a holiday that encourages gluttony was in order (and I love talking about food). Some of my favorite standbys include: Pumpkin pie Sweet potatoes Chicken and Dumplings Baked ham (kicks turkey right in the balls) Discuss!
Honey-baked ham Mashed potatoes Cranberry Sauce Pumpkin pie Apple pie Next-day cold turkey sandwiches are amazing, though.
I like honey ham and mashed potatoes. I know it's untraditional but I also like pizza with bacon and slices of turkey.. :?
Okay...turkey, CRANBERRY SAUCE (right with ya Mike), cranberry-orange bread, butternut squash, and gravy. I love gravy. Not a stuffing fan though..hmm. And I love pumpkin pie, too. Thanksgiving is just awesome because...it's my favorite kind of food. Heavy, comfort-food roasts. I'm so excited for dinner, haha.
My Mom's Greek, so she likes to mix in some Greek food during thanksgiving. I like when she makes eggplant, or moosakka (sp?), stuffing, her greek salad, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and so on..
I obviously don't celebrate Thanksgiving anyway, but I'm guessing I'm pretty much the only person here who actually hates stuffing haha.
