Really though, a lot of people seem to have this mentality that's essentially just "So, all this stuff about man-made warming is rubbish... back to polluting the shit out of everything then!" and regardless of whether they're right about the factuality of it all that kind of stance is probably as bad as anything.
Actually, there are scientists who are beginning to claim that the Earth is still undergoing an Ice Age, and that the Earth is only truly "out" of an Ice Age when there are no polar ice caps. And to be honest, those are the theories that I'm starting to believe, not that I believed in global warming at all to begin with. But then again, it's not like I stand on my roof and spray cans of hairspray at the sky, so I don't think I'm in the whole "let's fuck the Earth up, I'm not going to be around when it goes to shit" mentality.
I know, I remember posting a quote about the definition of an ice age in that global warming thread we had before, but the fact that technically we are still in one doesn't necessarily guarantee anything in regards to temparatures and what have you. I wasn't attacking everyone who doesn't believe that climate change is man-made, it's not even as if I disagree myself, what I was trying to say is that there just seem to be a lot of people who don't seem to acknowledge that at the end of the day it's probably for the best that there are still measures against deforestation, wasting energy and pollution and so on anyway, not just for environmental reasons.
Well, The last bit isn't the way to go, imo. "So, all this stuff about man-made warming is rubbish...." Well, leave it as that Because CO2 is fine. Cutting down massive amounts of Tree's, oilspills, Toxic spills, littering the ocean, That's pollution imo. ( Cities with So much Concentrated Pollution *coughcoughLAcoughcough* that you can see it from an airplane, a big giant brown cloud ) Just Climate Change from CO2 is wrong, imo. And just because climate change isn't man-made, doesn't mean we still can go fuck up some more Sylar: No, the Easter Bunny is real, i mean, who else puts happens to place random colorful eggs for people to find on Easter?
