It's music. Problem is, it sucks. Yeah, some people might like it and that's okay. But, I think it sucks. Apparently alot of people on here do. If you think Coldplay or NIN or 98 Degrees sucks, that's fine, because it's your opinion, just like my opinion is that the song posted does, infact, suck.

    Copious amounts of sucking, actually.

I never said it doesn't suck. My problem here is when people say that music they don't like isn't "music." It's really ignorant. Whether you like it or not, it takes talent to make a song, whether the song is good or complete shit. It's all music, though. And like you said, the problem here is that it does, in fact, suck. But that doesn't make it any less "music" than anything else.

Some might call that art...maybe even music.

I agree with will on this.

If you don't think it's music, fine, but that doesn't mean, that it really isn't.

That really depends how you'd define music.

In the sense of it's "fun", it's "art" or in this case, it's "easy money", apparently.

Well as long as we agree, Will, I don't see a problem. Since I never said it wasn't music. Just wanted to state my opinion on this abomination.

Also, music, for me atleast, is art. And this isn't art. It's music as a means for an easy payday in this case.

Yeah, I'm not sure if this garbage can be considered beautiful, an expression of emotion, or pleasantly harmonic

Well, I'll apologize for getting bent out of shape. But I get frustrated when topics like this are made or brought up by my friends, because it's absolutely ridiculous. They'll sit there and trash bands they don't like, claiming they're "not music," but the second a band they like gets trashed and called "not music," they go on the defensive and can't back up anything they say. "It's shit" is not a good reason as to why you think it's "not music," in my opinion.

EDIT: Fuck it, I'm not gonna be dragged into this debate because I know it'll just result in people insulting each others musical tastes. Let's just agree there's a difference in opinion and leave it at that.

I would say that's slightly more insightful than:

I got these bitches all tipsy trying to sex me.
I know they want it, alcoholics are some sex freaks.
This ex and chronic gots me wanting to get messy.
So lets get messy girls, Come on lets go get messy girls.

Come on bitch, you know you want this.
That hardcore shit will make you feel the toxic.
    Versace, Rolex watches.
Bently coups with the 20's droppin.
Convertible top, and the wheels spin.
I can taste that ice when my grill is in.
If you want me baby feel me in.
Cause I don't waste my time with lesbians.

I agree with Casey for the most part.

Although I can never really tell where he stands in regards to Linkin Park themselves, haha.

I think this basically sums it up, for me.

It's a social fact and one could argue these people and the people who listen to this are not socially educated or don't have to capacity to be.

    I won't, though.

lyrics are progressively getting better. maybe by album #7 they'll be at the point where i won't be embarrased to play their music in my car at loud levels due to the shitty, on the brink of emotastic lyrics.

but taken as straight up instrumental songs, some of their shit is awesome.

hey, then again, my favorite band screams, "I WANT TO FUCK YOU LIKE AN ANIMAL"
