Yeah this makes the movie look fuckin epic. Can't wait, it's exactly how I pictured it being, rainy and everything. That type of weather has become my favorite for some reason.
Sweet. I can't wait to see it. I usually skip movies on opening day, I might make an exception for this one though.
Somehow that was even worst then the first one. Im going to see it, if only to laugh at how awful it will be.
I've really gotta get my hands on that book ... this movie doesn't look that great, though. And I imagine it'd seem worse if I'd read the book.
I think it looks terrible. I had a little bit of hope that eventually I would change my mind with the footage they have let out.. but from everything I have seen so far, I will not be going out of my way to see it in a theater.
I guarantee this movie will only appeal to it's niche audience. Ohh, a romantic teenage vampire movie. I'm going to go ahead and predict it ranks at #7, max, on the Top 10 box office that week. This reeks of Harry Potter and other contrived children books that try to be way too mature for their own good. Only reason a typical movie goer would have any interest in this is: a) their female date reads it, and loves the main character (she also forgot her Jack Skellington backpack at home) or b) their pre-teen children just think the characters are so dreamy and/or "wicked", depending on gender. Pass.
I think Harry Potter was a bit better than Twilight, it didn't really try to appeal to as mature of an audience as Twilight does. That was still fucking awesome.
Me, I adored the books, and I'm very pleased with the way the movie seems to have turned out. I can't wait to see it. I think I like this trailer better than all the teasers put together.
All the action and the plot and everything seems basically spot on and it looks awesome! Despite the fact that the actor choice for Edward sucks. He's not even remotely handsome, let alone inhumanely beautiful. The actress for Bella just seems to bring a lack of emotion into her acting. She just dully said "I'd rather die than be without you" and there was just no feeling in it! Bah! I'll enjoy the movie, because I love the books and the plot seemed good, but the actors will just drive me crazy. *sigh* Obviously not meaning to start something. Just my opinion, haha.
I really like the actor choices, but the one thing that kind of grates on my nerves is the fact that they seem to have changed a lot... For example, don't Bella and Edward kiss for the first time next to her truck after a trip to the meadow? Isn't Bella unconscious when Edward is fighting with James? And hell, aren't Jasper and Emmett the ones to rip him apart?
Hahahaha. Even the people playing Bella and Edward don't like the novel. http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/?p=6134
