    I picked up a virus while browsing a normal site. It's not major, just some Trojan. Anyway, I get random advertisement popups and sometimes my windows go in-active, making it a pain in the ass to type. I've run Norton, AdAware, and Windows Defender and it seems they've done all they can do. If I disconnect my modem, my computer runs perfectly fine.

    Can anyone help?

    Plus you can't trust Norton to do much other than destroy your computer.

    Fo sho. I don't even know why I said Norton because I have Symantec :lol:

    It's getting better and better each day. Scans and restarts seem to be helping. My windows are stayign active now and I'm only getting 1 popup every 5-10 minutes or so instead of 15 every minute.

    Symantec = norton.

    Different name, same engine, definitions and memory footprint. I installed Symantec Total Security last week for fun, and it killed all my network tools. Took out all my ip scanners, packet sniffers and everything like that. And I actually need some of those for school.. Fucking Symantec.
