sorry for the lame title, can't think of anything else clever, lol I just wanted to whore out my favorite American Idol for those who may or may not have heard about him. I don't even like AI, but watched it last year every week since the top 24 once my brother told me about this awesome rocker David Cook. David Cook is not some "new guy" to the music scene either, he already has a solo CD entitled "Analog Heart" (which is amazing), has a CD with a band called "The Midwest Kings" and 2 CDs with another band named "Axium". His CD drops November 18th, entitled "David Cook". Not too catchy, but most AI winners have a self-titled CD first. Album Art: Tracklist is as follows: 1. "Declaration" 2. "Heroes" 3. "Light On" 4. "Come Back to Me" 5. "Life on the Moon" 6. "Bar-ba-sol" 7. "Mr. Sensitive" 8. "Lie" 9. "I Did It for You" 10. "Avalanche" 11. "Permanent" 12. "A Daily AntheM" You can hear the AI song "Time Of My Life" and his first single "Light On" on his official myspace: http://www.myspace.com/officialdavidcook If you want to hear any of his solo stuff or from Axium, the CDs/mp3s are available on Amazon.com and through various other torrent sources, lol Enjoy btw, anyone else think he has the possibility of being even bigger than Daughtry? I love Daughtry, but I think Cook connects to more pop fans and rock fans total than Daughtry
*shakes head* @ the title The songs sound pretty alright, i like the first one better. I don't have much else to say about all of that. Oh oh yes i do, doesn't he kinda look like "Ricky Martin" in this picture?
I think David Cook is a lot better than the AI winners we have seen before and I would even go as far as to say that I enjoy his voice more than Chris Daughtry. Also, he co-wrote/wrote all the songs on the album and collaborated with vocalists such as Raine Maida from Our Lady Peace, Johnny Reznik from Goo Goo Dolls, and the single *Light On* was written by Chris Cornell. I have high hopes for this.
Sigh... it's pretty much all power ballads as I thought would happen if he won. Now I wish he would've lost.
I think Bar-Ba-Sol is a damn good song, definitely a stand out too. Also, most of Chris Daughtrys CD could be considered Power Ballads and he didnt win, so I dont know if its the fact that he won that factored into it. I love the way the CD sounds. EDIT: Every song sounds better than Time of My Life...so I am happy
