What movies did you recently watch?

Overstuffed with poor execution, over-the-top cheesyness, too much dancing, Mary-Jane in distress...AGAIN! a FORCED Venom, a miscast Eddie Brock, Terrible conclusion concerning Sandman, a visually and lackluster Venom, NO one-vs-one all out brawl between Spidey and Venom, too much 3D spidey, unlike the first and second films where they actually used a body.

In spite of this, I'm extremely looking forward to Spider-Man 4 as long as Tobey and Kirsten (minimal role please? ) reprise their roles.

 

10 Things I Hate About You - 9/10
I've always loved this film. Hilarious and awwww at the same time. Especially with Heath Ledger as Patrick Verona, he just stole my heart.

Memoirs of a Geisha - 8/10
Sad story but a good one.

 

Rendition - 8/10. Very poignant and disturbing film.

 

Not Another Teen Movie - 6/10
Despite how funny it was it peeved me off about the fact that they ripped two of my favourite films off in (Mean Girls and 10 Things I Hate About You). Enjoyed Marilyn Manson's version of Tainted Love but cringed when I heard Good Charlotte playing.

 

Pan's Labyrinth (Laberinto Del Fauno, El - 2006) - 8/10
Absolutely brilliant, although some viewers may be put off as it is in Spanish and subtitled all the way through, it's very hard to describe why it's good, it's more of you have to watch it to be able to understand it. I would highly recommend anyone to watch this movie.

Iron Man (9.5/10)

I regret not seeing this when it was in theaters so bad now, lol. I bought the DVD today and I absolutely loved it!

 

Not Another Teen Movie was meant to rip off popular teen comedies. The main plot is based strongly off She's All That and 10 Things I Hate About You but it's got tons of references to other teen comedies/teen romances. That said, it came out almost three years before Mean Girls.

 

Star Trek Nemesis - 8/10

I'd love to get into a debate with anyone who thought this movie wasn't good

The X Files: I Want To Believe

Not excellent, but not bad either. 7/10

 

Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist 10/10

Oh my god Kat Dennings and Micheal Cera acted AMAZING, even all the other actors were dead on. I didn't read the book but the girl I went with did and she said it was way better than the book.

The soundtrack and music used in the movie captured the feeling of the moment perfectly.

I recommend it.

 

Scully has long hair in this which makes it less believable.

Hero - 5/10

Didn't like reading the English subtitles all the time (because the whole thing was in Manderin) and it was quick to lose my attention. Jet Li was awesome in this though and it was a Quentin Taratino film so it gets at least gets five stars. I didn't like the ever-dragging on plot.

 

FYI, the film was first released in China in 2002. It was delayed in the US for two years - something about market distribution rights and only attached "presented by quentin tarantino" because he helped bring it to the theaters. He had nothing to do with the actual movie itself.

I remember walking out of Hero about 20 minutes in a couple of years ago. I can't remember whether the film was that bad or it was because of these kids who were fucking around further along the back row. Worst date ever anyway.

Actually, no, it wasn't at all. haha.

 

In that case then, it gets a 3/10.

 

Hard Candy 10/10. Highly recommended!
