I have too much time on my hands. Okay, hypothetically you've got a stack of kids (lol reminds me of The Sims) of your own and you've got to name them. Which means, no responses like "I don't want kids" and "I don't know" < in that case, take some time to think about it. How many would you want? Why did you name them? What do their names mean? (Want help with the meaning of names? http://www.behindthename.com/ ) Me? I'm a family woman. Two boys - Vincent - From the Roman name Vincentius, which was from Latin vincere "to conquer". My grandfather's name was Vincent and he sadly passed away when I was a child. Tyler - From an English surname meaning "tiler of roofs". Brad Pitt's character in Fight Club Triplet girls - Anne - The name was borne by a 17th-century English queen and also by the second wife of Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn (the mother of Queen Elizabeth I), who was eventually beheaded in the Tower of London. This is also the name of the heroine in 'Anne of Green Gables' (1908) by Canadian author L. M. Montgomery. My sister's and my middle name. Alanis - Feminine form of ALAN. Canadian musician Alanis Morissette (1974-) was named after her father Alan. Her parents apparently decided to use this particular spelling after seeing this word in a Greek newspaper. The meaning says it all, after Alanis Morissette. Ava - Means "voice, sound" in Persian. A character I love using in my various stories that I've been writing and after the Smashing Pumpkins song Ava Adore ... after the line you're the one that I adore
I like Madison Renee for a girl and Alexander James for a boy. Alternatively, Brittany Constance or Timothy Nicholas.
Azura Iris - Azura being an elaboration or Azure which means "Sky Blue" and Iris meaning "Rainbow" Gabriel August - Gabriel being "strong man of God". I'm not religious but I always liked the name. August seems to roll off the tongue with it.
If I had to have kids, I would only want one. I'd love to have a boy and I would want to name him either James, Ryan, Aaron or David. If it turned out to be a girl, then it's Catherine, hands down. My middle name is Catherine and my grandmother's name is Catherine. I have always loved that name. I actually wish it was my first name instead, lol. But yeah, this is hypothetical, and I don't want kids. I answered anyway in case I change my mind, which is not likely.
I used to always want to name my kid Draven if he was a boy considering I was a fan of the crow. This was until Chester named his kid the same thing. Now I'm not sure. Perhaps Brandon (after Brandon Lee), Eric (after Eric Draven), Ed (dad's name) or Derek (my name). It'd have to take some thought though. Notice that all my boy's names are Crow influenced except for the last two. Funny. For woman, either a variation of my mom's name (Kathy/Katherine), Rebecca (name of my mother's first..unborn daughter) or something exotic sounding. I'd have to go by when/if I actually had kids with someone. And yes I do want kids. I want to marry an amazing girl and raise a family.
Girl names I like: Ava, Sara, Meredith, Rachel Boy names: Alexander (After Alexander The Great), Jak, Anthony, Trey (After my best friend) I know I had more and I'll remember random ones that pop up now and then.
I have all the kids I am physically capable of having, but I always wanted three. But the ones I do have are named: Donatella Josephine: Both are family names, Donatella means God's gift, and it was appropriate, because it took me four years to have her, and I prayed for her every single day. Josephine was my grandmother on my dad's side, and then my grandfather on my mom's side was Joseph. Merric Samuel. Merric is Celtic in origin and means ruler of the sea. Samuel is my husband's name.
I like this thread. =] For some reason I want to name all my kids with a J. Boys: Jason/Jacen, Jay, James. Girls: Jasmine, Jennifer, Jessica/Jessie, Joanna There are some other names that don't fit the pattern, I'll go more in depth later. With middle names too.
Jason is an awesome name, but of course, I'm biased And believe it or not, I wanted to change the spelling to Jacen! (I think I read it in a Star Wars novel )
if i ever have kids...i want 3 2 boys and a girl Boys: Gabriel and Michael Girl:Alexandra i donno why but i just like those names...
