Ron "Freedom" Paul also voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. And Palin's daughter is pregnant. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0908/13050.html
I wouldn't be listening to my parents either if they'd named me Bristol, frankly. Does she have siblings called Cornwall and Somerset?
http://www.dumpert.nl/mediabase/foto/a179af5c_familiePalin.JPG Which one? I'd vote for McCain, just because Palin's daughters are hot.
I think it's the one on the far right of the picture. If it is, that's one reason to actually want to be in Bristol. I'll stop ripping it out of the West Country now, I mean I doubt anyone who posts in this thread regularly knows what I mean.
I'm utterly nonplussed by that. It just doesn't surprise me at all. As long as the rich are having their way, what do they care what happens to anyone else? You heard what that one guy said: "Everyone goes through hard times." Yeah? Is that so? It's not really every day that a huge hurricane smashes into Ohio and destroys my house, but it happens all the time down there, so I can't see how he could've been unfazed by the fact that there are millions of people suffering down in the Gulf while he's drinking okratinis and dancing to a horrible band.
For some reason I get the feeling that the only reason Mccain chose Palin to be VP is to please the Hillary supporters and not because of their views but primarily because she is a girl. I mean if she knew of half of what she was doing it would have been a somewhat okay decision but this is just insane. I wonder if he even knew who she was a month ago.. argh.
I find it amusing that during the RNC there were a bunch of people rioting on the street from left-wingers, and during the DNC there weren't any right-winger rioters. Hm. Also, it's bothering me that everyone is freaking out about Palin's daughter. Yeah, it's kind of ironic because she's very conservative and religious, but at least her daughter and her boyfriend are doing the responsible thing. She's having the baby and marrying the boyfriend. At least she isn't getting an abortion: that would be somthing to freak out about, considering her mother's views.
Yeah. It is clutching at straws somewhat, to get on her back for that. Her daughter was 17, it happens. At least she and the father are being responsible about it now.
l2internet. DNC riots in 2000, hun. It may not have been right-wingers, but there was riots by locos nonetheless.
They were scared shitless that it would happen again though. And do you really expect there to be a riot at the DNC, since we've been under a Republican administration for 8 years that most people hate? They're WELCOMING the Democrats right now, not going against them, generally.
You know, there was a jail in a ware-house where a few rioting protesters were. http://cbs4denver.com/denver2008/denver.protesters.arrested.2.793930.html I believe they closed the warehouse shy a day or two from the DNC. There might have been no rioters, but I'm pretty sure someone is GOING to protest a DNC. Just my input.
This is fucking hilarious: http://www.236.com/blog/w/lee_camp/mccains_voice_mail_to_palin_le_8644.php
I agree. I'm sorry to Arlene or anybody who doesn't support Obama but I just do not like McCain or Palin at all. I can't understand how anybody after witnessing the absolute catastrophe these last years have been with Bush as president, could support McCain considering he voted lockstep with Bush 90% of the time in 2007. This isn't some fabricated rumor by the Democrats, there's actually a VIDEO out there of McCain saying he voted in agreement with Bush far more than some of his other Republican colleagues. You can pass the blame all you want, and try to point the finger at some of Bush's advisers or certain organizations (like FEMA) as a way to stick up for Bush, but plain and simple...once you run out of other people to blame, George Bush is still a failure of a present who does not understand the plight of the modern day working American. I'm sorry, but not doing ANYTHING about our economy, and then suddenly giving out rebate checks the last year of his presidency is not enough. This president has failed us, and considering it's very clear that McCain agrees with a lot of what Bush has done in his 2 terms as president, it's obvious McCain will lead us down the same path. But go ahead. If you like the rising costs of gas, struggling to make a living, and feeling as if the American dream doesn't matter anymore...vote McCain into office. With his promised tax cuts to oil corporations, he'll be certain to make sure you pay even more than 4.00 a gallon for gas by the end of his 1st term. Why? Because as much as he tries to paint himself as a straight-talking maverick, the fact of the matter is he really couldn't give a shit. He's just the closest thing to George Bush and Republicans nominated him because they don't want to see half of GW's policies overturned by a democrat getting into office. McCain...you're a war hero, and you suffered in a POW camp. I respect that and the service you provided to our country, but that doesn't mean you're fit to be president....and quite simply? The fact you use your POW experience as a way out for EVERYTHING proves only one thing: you're an asshole. May god (or whatever all of you believe in) save us all if McCain gets into office.
