Oh yeah Rachel, your problem with the Sippy cup..how is that a problem?

It clearly explains they chose it because you couldn't see the liquid inside, So it made it easier for her to drink without thinking about it.

other various things you rant about like Edward Nom'ing

It didn't say he had to Nom on that, just on her ** Belly, it sounded like she was having a C-Section rather than a normal pregnancy, seeing as the baby was ripping "Out" of her**

I just don't see a lot of the things as being stupid, like you do.

So I can say I am satisfied with this book so far.

My buddy's brother bought the book, read it overnight and promptly used it as fuel to start a fire for a barbecue the next day.

I was finally able to read it. I just finished it. I started it Sunday afternoon.

In the very beginning, I was disappointed. I felt that it was so generic, and I guessed everything that was going to happen. But once it went to the Jacob section, then it got really good, and I really did enjoy it. I wasn't expecting such a happy ending, but I won't complain. I thought it was a great read, with some cool twists. :)

EDIT: What Nick is saying makes sense, Rachel, about Edward 'getting the baby out.' He did not have his head in her vagina. That's ridiculous.

"I glanced over to see Edward's face pressed against the bulge. Vampire teeth- a surefire way to cut through vampire skin."

Bulge = top of belly. Not her vagina. It was basically a C-section. With vampire teeth.

About Edward being able to produce sperm, I was questioning that myself. However, there are old legends and stuff about the succubus and incubus. It's mentioned in the book, and Stephenie Meyer didn't make up that story. They're existing legends.

As for Renesmee developing very quickly, it was just a side effect of her being a hybrid. It's how she genetically developed. It's silly that you would rag about that. It created more wonder and interest in the story that the child developed so quickly. It wasn't meant to be realistic, as you obviously expected it to be. It's not even fiction, it's fantasy. Things are not going to be realistic.

Again, Nick is right about the sippy cup. She wasn't drinking through the sippy cup because she was so useless or something, it was so she didn't see what she was drinking. And plus, it was a cup with a straw, that may have had a lid. Not a sippy cup.

I do agree though that Bella turned into a total Mary Sue, and I was expecting Jacob to imprint with Renesmee. You said you were hoping he would imprint with Leah, but that would have happened when he first met her (after he turned into a shape-shifter), not after developing closer bonds.

With Bella being a Mary Sue, it was a given. We all knew she would be. All vampires are Mary Sue's and Gary Stew's. And yes, it was a little cheesy about the name, but it's cute. As for the Volturi, it WAS kind of anticlimactic, but it was also an interesting ending. I think. If they had battled, would you prefer if everyone died or were miraculously fine? Either way, it would be pretty annoying.

As for everyone who said "oh noes I won't even give the book a chance because I listened to one person's ranting review" just read it. It was a great read. It was entertaining, and full of fantasy and wonder. Make that decision if it's a good book or not for yourself. :)

Its not one persons rant. Its hundreds of rants all over other message boards and online from faithful readers who were genuinely excited for the release of this book. It isnt like Im taking advice from someone who just got into the series and started with the fourth book. I just really have no interest in it after all the bad reviews.

*shrug* That's your choice, but I think that it's good to try it out, and make the decision if you like it or not for yourself. Have an open mind, I say.

I had an open mind, until 3/4 of the reviews for this book were completely bashing it.

Each to their own, No one should ever bash another's decision.

I just NEVER go off Reviews because I know I have a tendency to be very different from the masses when it comes to opinions and the overall big picture of things.

The uterus thing thing was a joke me and my friends made from it.

BUT STILL. And it took me an edit to think of this, but suck it up. WHY THE NEED FOR THE TEETH? If there is already an incision for a c-section, doesn't this kind of do the job? Isn't Edward's OM NOM NOM moment a bit superfluous?

Like, what is the need to nom on a fucking uterus/amniotic sac/placenta if THERE'S ALREADY A FUCKING CUT TO LET THE SPAWN OUT?!

    still bothers me.

And anyways, don't they explain the succubus myth in there as it being something TOTALLY DIFFERENT from them? Or maybe I'm just hallucinating.

Either way, I keep forgetting about the first time seeing thing with imprinting. Either way, I still think the book blows hard.

EDIT AGAIN, BECAUSE I'M THAT FUCKING AWESOME.

    ^ LOLWUT.

You forget, I promptly read all 3 books in 5 days while working, sleeping, and hanging out with friends. I was high hopes. I WENT TO THE FUCKING MIDNIGHT RELEASE.

And then I promptly finish it...with a what the fuck moment.

I kept an open mind obviously because I finished the fucking thing. All 754 miserable pages of it.

I never said you guys SHOULD like it.

I'm just saying I don't go off Reviews, I never said anything about how my way is a better way or anything.

If you don't like it, you don't like it, I was just also throwing in my way of looking at it, Nothing pushed on you.

Also Rachel, He used his Teeth because they said the baby was surrounded in something only werewolf or vampire teeth could get through. So I GUESS The scapel was just for the skin

and when I said seeing them as being Stupid..I should have said I don't see them as being how you see them. You just put them in a negative fashion so I used the word Stupid. Sorry lol.

To be fair, you did insinuate that those who didn't like it, whether reading reviews or not, isn't reading it with an open mind.

I read mine with open mind since I bought it at midnight. And I feel that reading reviews give you a more open mind as you have various interpretations to go off of, and you can find your own, and compare notes. Blind hope fails us sometimes with books. Harry Potter 7, anyone?

    God, Fuck! I did didn't I.

That's not like me at ALL, But I see how I could have done it. Sub-Conscious thoughts getting annoyed at people disliking it and shoving it in my face when I DO like it. If I was thinking clearly I would have worded that way better.

So Rachel to clear that crap away and forget about it

You disliked the book, I know your reasons.
I'm almost done and I love it still.

But I'm sure there are things we would agree on and Disagree on together, So it's all good.

    My apologies for saying
I know that about everyone on here is pretty open-minded, it was a spur of the moment thing.

    Ok no problemo =]

Here's my question for those paying attention.

S.Meyer has said that it's impossible for female vampires to become pregnant because of the changes required. Apparently it's ok for guys to do it. Even though the venom would either (a) kill the sperm (b) mutate it to be vampiric sperm which technically should have started to turn Bella as venom is in her body.

So, either Renesmee shouldn't exist because Edward is shooting blanks, or Renesmee shouldn't exist because Bella's reproductive functions should have ceased, a la Rosalie.

AND WAS ANYONE ELSE PISSED AT ROSALIE FOR BEING SUCH A GREEDY HO?!

Yeah, I agree that it's weird about her being able to get pregnant. It's confusing. But maybe his sperm isn't venomous. It just made a vampire baby because that's his genetic material, not necessarily venomous. And Bella's body was working normally...it doesn't make much sense, but I don't think that his sperm was venomous. That's the only thing I can really think of.

And Rachel, we weren't bashing you for not having an open mind. Because you totally had an open mind. I just think that other people should have an open mind, despite what other people say. *shrug*

    1) I think S.Meyer said that almost all, if not all, bodily fluids turn into venom. Which means that Bella should have either turned as soon as she French'd Edward, or when he jizzed, end of story. His genetic material isn't vampire. His genetic material is human being, vampire fucked it up.

    2) You may not have been bashing me, but Nick admitted that it sounded like it. It's already resolved.

Wow. This shit is wild. However, I've read good and bad reviews, and I still want to read the book.

(It's weird, but this is what I do before I make any book decisions or whatever. I always read the spoilers, and it just makes me more anxious.) But hey, if I don't like the book, there's always Midnight Sun to look forward to! That should be absolutely awesome. Now if that's not awesome, I will be pissed.

That said, I can't wait for the movie. The minute I heard that RPattz had been cast as Edward, I freaked. I really think that he's doing a great job (from what I've seen), and KStew as Bella? Ahhhsome. I just don't like that Kellan Lutz hasn't got Emmett's awesome hair, and Carlisle isn't drop-dead-gorgeous. Nikki Reed probably didn't even have to audition for Rosalie, and I don't think she's perfect for the role. However, she's a great actress, so I suppose she can make it work. I'm pretty happy with Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Green as Jasper and Alice. Jacob does bother me, though. I agree, he looks nothing like a Quileute. Embry's cute. *shakes head and grins*

And oh my Carlisle! The movie's coming out sooner (in November!), because of Harry Potter VI being delayed.

I enjoyed Breaking Dawn. Some things did seem kinda lame, and the ending was kind of disappointing. But then again, I agree with Arlene about that.. (I'm not sure if it's really needed since it doesn't really give anything surprising away, but I'll make this bit invisible just incase..) If they had went into battle with the Volturi and a few of the Cullen's died it would have been a sad and terrible ending. You would have been wondering how the others would've survived without them, no matter who it was (If Alice died, you'd be wondering about Jasper.. If Rosalie died, you'd be wondering about Emmet, and so on). And if they did end up going into battle and none of them died.. that would have been lame too. :lol:So if it had ended on that note, it would've left an awful craving for more and knowing this is the last one, I'm glad it ended the way it did. With the happy ending it makes the series ending a little bit easier to handle, I think. lol.

Overall I don't think it was downright amazing or anything, but it still managed to suck me into their world for a few hours so it was worth it. :)

Apparently 12 chapters of Midnight Sun have leaked, but no one knows if it's the real deal or a fan fic.
