10 500 athletes 302 events 28 sports From August 8 to August 24 in Beijing, China ----------------------------------------------------- Definitely the event of the year for me and I know I'll be watching it the whole day every day The opening ceremony is tomorrow but football tournaments started yesterday and today (women and men respectively). I'm expecting plenty of great games in team sports like basketball and volleyball and a lot of world records in individual sports like athletics and swimming. That's enough for the intro, anyone else a fan? And yeah, go Serbia!
1st: USA 2nd: China 3rd: Russia? 4th: Australia/other country that's actually good at sport and doesn't need a high population to do well
Yeah you probably nailed the first three Btw we're playing football against you at the moment. I hope we'll bust your asses
If I'm being honest the only sports I care about are basketball and baseball. I'm rooting for Team USA in both sports.
That's stupid. It's just starting to become really, really popular in places that aren't the United States, Japan, Korea and the Caribbean islands (Puerto Rico, Cuba, etc).
Yeah and softball's out too. I couldn't care less for both sports, it's always the same nations competing anyway.
I don't think I have ever watched the Olympics. No one in my family cares to watch them at all, so I really don't know what it's like to watch anyway. I'm not really big on sports, though, so odds are I won't be too interested in it, but since it's on for so many days I may try to give it a go for a while. Honestly, though.. Assuming that you just watch a bunch of people compete all day long with the Olympics, I'm much more interested in watching the Puppy Games.
