Shot down again. Damn.

 

I can't quite remember but I think he left to spend time with his wife since she'd just given birth to a child. I think the whole being on the road thing didn't appeal to him as much as he thought it would when he first started making music. The same thing happened to Hit the Lights' old singer.

I just watched the video. I'd never seen it before. Their lead singer was singing the old singer's parts and their guitarist was singing the lead singer's parts. It's kind of confusing but I guess that's how they roll now.

 

So....NOWADAYS the lead singer sings the other parts? that the old guy did?

and the lead is the one with longer hair.

 

I wasn't paying attention but actually the second vocalist (the one who left the band) doesn't sing any lead in "Jamie All Over" until the end of the song when he sings one of the verses (I think it's the second verse he sings) but it shows the lead singer (the one still in the band who's always been the lead singer) singing it. The lead singer actually did all the lead vocals in that song (even the vocals dubbed over top of each other that a backing vocalist would do). I'm guessing the lead singer just sings the parts he can sing and the guitarist sings the parts he can't (for obvious dubbing reasons). If that made any sense, I'm giving you a high five.

The funny part about them choosing "Jamie All Over" as a single is that it was a song the second vocalist's (the one who's not in the band anymore) old band Kid Named Chicago recorded, so it's basically a cover.
