Right, now that my band Vacancy In 305 (with Dedicated) is breaking up soon, I have been writing and writing new music for a new band, named "Seven Years Behind". Since I realised there were no boundaries, nothing to stop me doing whatever the hell I want, I haven't stopped writing, some of which I was happy with, some not, (the first songs I wrote were scrapped), etc etc etc. However, today I felt I wasn't pushing myself enough, so in the vein of The Dear Hunter and Coheed And Cambria, I decided to write a story for our first EP, a concept album if you wish. So, here is what I have written so far. It isn't much, and it hasn't even got a character, or a plot. This is simply, an introduction, maybe a prologue. Like I said, I know it's short, but what do you think?
I thought it was going to be about Joey Barton for some reason... it's an interesting concept though.
That blurb is in very similar stead to something I'm writing at the moment. Good job though mate. I'm really disappointed that Vacancy are splitting up because I thought you guys could go on to big things but nevertheless I'm interested to hear what each of you guys' other projects are like. Good luck man.
If it was, it'd be, "Prick Gets Sent Down For 6 Months And Somehow Gets Out Early" XD Thanks though, I was merely typing what came to my head, and it stuck. It seems from a lot of writing that this EP, titled "As Tradition Meets The City", is about youth, growing up, and leaving things behind, Right now, it's very close to what's going on with me at the moment, but I plan on it being it's own story, not mine. EDIT: Cheers Luke, thanks for believing in Vacancy haha!
