Between The Buried & Me: August 1st Nine Inch Nails: August 12th Rodrigo y Gabriela: August 16th Conor Oberst & Jenny Lewis: September 12th The Black Keys: October 8th RyG, Oberst & Lewis and the Black Keys are all at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, which is a beautiful, classic venue if you've ever seen it. NIN is at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium, and it's about a 3 hour drive back and forth. So far, that's the only thing stopping me from buying tickets already. And BTBAM is at Rcktown, and is a DVD filming show. I like them, but I'm a much bigger fan of NIN and the Black Keys than any of the others. But, anyway, help? I have a vacation at work just waiting to be taken, so I can do any of these basically. If any of you have seen any of these bands live, please, leave a reply telling me about them. This will only be my 2nd ever concert behind Tool at Bonnaroo '07, and I want it to be a good one.
Yeah, but it's a 6 hour drive back and forth basically. By myself, to a city I've never been to. Surely you can see why I'm weary about buying tickets.
Purely in terms of which I like the most myself I'd say BTB&M or The Black Keys. Never seen any of them live though. Oh wait, I didn't notice Jenny Lewis in that post at first.
hijack a friend. even better, you can find out if you have epilepsy together! the joys of nin shows <3
I'd say BTB&M, or as I like to call them... "Betwixt the Buried and I" (in a proper British accent)... but anyway, I'd assume that show will be more intimate than NIN, plus they're very good at their instruments so the live show should be bomb.
Bright Eyes is actually a band. Conor Oberst is more akin to Bob Dylan and the Million Dollar Bashers.
NIN. Even though I've never seen any of them live, aside from videos and such, everyone who goes to a NIN concert raves about it for months afterwards.
Oh, I was under the impression that Bright Eyes pretty much is Conor Oberst. Forgive my ignorance then, haha.
