I figured. I'm not trying to convince you otherwise or anything, I'm not really a fan of his, I guess I'm just trying to start a discussion instead of everyone just posting lists. :)

I hate Kill Bill. I think Tarantino is overrated as a director, but Pulp Fiction is a true masterpiece. It should be required viewing for anyone who loves movies, it's that great.

    To me, atleast.

Oh, no, I understand. I was discussing as well.

As per what you said above, I never saw Jackie Brown and I hated Sin City and the Kill Bill series, too. There's just something about his style that's just a joke to me, and I can't get into any of his movies.

    Jason X.

    This topic is officially over.

Will, I know we don't agree on many things, but I'm with you on this one. Pulp Fiction was amazing and Reservoir Dogs was pretty good but every other Tarantino movie is overrated. I don't understand why everyone creams their pants over them.

Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are his two best films, but if it's his general style of film-making you dislike, they probably won't change your opinion of him.

As far what I think are the worst:

    Armageddon (1998)
    Battlefield Earth (2000)
    Pulse (2006)
    Stay Alive (2006)

...and a shit-load of Kevin Costner "films".

I'm confused... did someone say Tarantino did Sin City?

I think maybe I read wrong.

I'm not sure what his involvement entailed, but he was billed as a "special guest director" for that movie. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller were the main directors, though.

I think Tarantino just directed one scene in Sin City. Don't quote me on that, though.

As far as I can remember, he directed (or "guest directed," as it's been pointed out) the second segment.

His involvement didn't cause me to hate the movie, though. I hated it from the moment the movie started to the moment it ended. I thought it was awful.

The only part I liked was when Jessica Alba was dancing on the pole...

Either way, I love that movie. And a lot of others people have listed so far. Except for Teeth. Never Teeth.

That movie seemed like one giant man-hate fest.

Is Teeth the one about the vagina that eats people?

If so, then yes, that was horrible.

I don't think it's entirely his style that's so off-putting to me. The Grindhouse films were pretty straightforward but I thought they were horrible. Death Proof was a joke and made no sense at all, especially when it just... ended. And Planet Terror was just ridiculous. I realize he made them to be purposely over-the-top to poke fun at Grindhouse films from the '70s, but still... Ugh.

Not people. Men. Specifically, the genitals. It's a very bizarre, and almost preachy movie. I hate it.

What about Stay didn't you like, if you don't mind my asking? I thought it was pretty fantastic myself.

    Cloverfield
    House of the Dead
    BloodRayne
    Legion of the Dead
    Rock Monster
    Frankenfish
Any other Sci-Fi Channel original movie. (with very few exceptions.)
Ultraviolet (X-Men 3, Resident Evil, Underworld and The Matrix rolled into one. Not a great mix)
    10,000 B.C.
    I Am Legend
    Date Movie
    Scary Movie 4
Day of the Dead 2 (Had nothing to do with George Romero's series)
    The Hulk

There's so many other ones, but they're just not popping in my head. Maybe that's a good thing.

I got the general idea of it but I simply didn't understand it as the movie progressed. Plus it was very depressing, lol. Maybe if you can help me understand it, perhaps I'll change my mind. :)

Oh and I AM LEGEND, definitely. I forgot about that one. I wanted to walk out of the theater so bad when I saw it, but didn't.

Dear god I was laughing so hard the whole time, Shitty acting, shitty effects. FUCKED UP STORYLINE

    I loved it.
