This is what I wrote to Hillary supporters on Obama's blog. I thought it was nice so I'm reposting it here:

I'm not sure if anyone else has seen Blazing Saddles (if not, go rent it. Now) but this scene reminds me of the election a bit

    "Where the white women at?"

Love that movie. That scene does mirror this election a bit, haha.

I agree with that whole speech, except that part.

Why do (some) Americans think they can tell the rest of the world to disarm while having a huge host of the very weapons they want countries such as Russia to get rid of?
America scares me more than Pakistan or India, and certainly more than Russia, though not least because of the stupidity Australia has shown in the past, letting the USA have bases on our soil, and test weapons in our deserts.

I will agree that some of Obama's views are a little controversial at times, such as the one above...but that all comes from the fact he's honest. He tells people what they need to hear, and not what they want to hear.

That takes guts. And Obama seems to have a lot of those.

Not only that, but he tells them the truth. Which takes more guts than anything, especially when the truth is horrible and controversial, and can lead to a lot of people greatly disliking you.

He went to an automobile manufacturer in Detroit and told the CEOs right to their face that we need to start making cars be more fuel efficient.

As Obama says when he tells the story, "needless to say the room got very quiet".

I'd like to see any of the other candidates, even McCain stand up to powerful people like that and tell them what they need to change. People may harp on Obama's experience, but he's a very gutsty person and when you have someone leading a country like America...you need to be as gutsy as you can get.

He's honest, maybe, but also thinks that his ideas are original and will somehow work, when they have never worked before, ever. How's he going to solve issues in the middle east? Go over and have a nice chat and a cup of tea?

And that's what I respect about him, as well as the way he motivates and inspire people. I like the guy, and I believe he's the best candidate for the most powerful job in the world.

Just little things, that all American politicians seem to believe bug me.

Arlene, you know I love you dear, but I think even that would be an improvement on America's current policy in that area.

Dean and Daniel: No, it wouldn't. It would do nothing.

So, have you Obama people heard his speech stuff from last Thursday in Virginia? Everyone remembers on how people went crazy on Bush about him saying "nucUlar" rather than "nuclear." Well, it was seriously embarassing listening to Obama when he didn't have a teleprompter telling him what to say. He said:
"OBAMA: What they'll say is, "Well it costs too much money," but you know what? It would cost, about... It -- it -- it would cost about the same as what we would spend... It... Over the course of 10 years it would cost what it would costs us... (nervous laugh) All right. Okay. We're going to... It... It would cost us about the same as it would cost for about -- hold on one second. I can't hear myself. But I'm glad you're fired up, though. I'm glad."

And then he went on to say
OBAMA: Everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma, they end up taking up a hospital bed, it costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early and they got some treatment, and a, a breathalyzer, or inhalator, not a breathalyzer. (crowd laughing) I haven't had much sleep in the last 48 hours."

A breathalyzer? An inhalator? How about an inhalor.

Noone is griping about this, like they would on Bush. Why isn't anyone acknowledging that Obama can't deliver a speech that can be comprehended?

Look up the speech, seriously. Was in...I think, Bristol, Virginia.

    EDIT:

No offense, but who cares? That's probably the first and only time he's buggered up a speech. When Bush does it, it's just ridiculous. You try giving a speech on very little sleep.

I think it's kind of stupid that you're even pointing this out.
