Oh well i got introduce to this genre not a long time ago and there are some artists that i just found awesome. The ones i really liked so far are

Saltillo- The Album is called " Ganglion" i don't like all the tracks but "giving in" "remember me" and "a neccesary end" are amazing

i also like some of Hooverphonic, Alias & Tarsier, kyte, rekevin & beauty's confusion.

anyone else a fan of trip hop? any suggestions, recommendations??

Haven't been much of a fan as of late, but I was really into trip hop and electronica years ago. Tricky, Massive Attack, DJ Shadow, and Portishead are all golden standards.

Yeah, they're pretty good. I totally forgot about UNKLE, too.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned The Crystal Method yet.

Trip-hop is basically a more downbeat and atmospheric type of hip-hop. Obviously, it's kind of a broad definition since a lot of the artists labeled trip-hop are quite different from one another.

Yeah it's kinda hard, cause if you put Zero 7 next to Massive Attack there's a huge difference. :hmm:

I've only heard their more well known songs but they don't seem a great deal like trip-hop.

Then again I'm hardly an authority on the genre being as I don't really listen to it.

Yeah, but they both make me feel relaxed. That's why I name it Lounge most of the time.

I looked them up on Wikipedia and they're not defined as trip hop at all. I thought they might be but I've never heard any of the artists anyone's named off so it's not like I know either.

This has nothing to do with this topic, but I'm shocked, I always have you pecked as a second Kayce, you know, knowing every band and all.
