On another note, if I actually knew how to cook, this chicken probably wouldn't end up tasting terrible.

YES CHLORINE.

The chickens in America are dipped in chlorine to clean them.

CHLORINE.

I'd never eat a chicken dipped in chlorine. I don't care if you don't taste it. It's chlorine. CHLORINE. My head is too small to understand it.

I clean my toilet with chlorine. Not my fucking chicken. It's just horrible.

 

And this only happens to American chickens?

 

Apparently and they want it in European countries as well. Well, they better put it on the packages that have been cleaned that way, cause I ain't buying it.

 

What the fuck, are they afraid of salmonella? That's why we cook it... to kill ze germs and bacteria.

Someone needs to fix the site. It keeps going down for extended periods of time.

 

Yeah it's to kill off the salmonella. I guess it's a good thing to prevent food poisoning, but chlorine...I still can't believe that.

They also use carbon monoxide to make meat appear redder, in the U.S.
That's kind of messed up, too.

I don't really eat beef, so it doesn't bother me. That using chlorine to clean chicken thing has fucked up my world, though. xD

 

It's not the site. There's been a bunch of sites going down due to some kind of server issue recently. Almost every Proboards site went down the other day, Prince.org went down repeatedly, my school site has been up and down, and hundreds of other sites have been down. No one knows exactly what it is, but it all seems to be pointing towards power outages or something like that.

 

I'm sorry.
