I was just wondering if anyone on this forum likes Pendulum or Drum and Bass in general?

I see Death Cab and FFAF are in here, so drum and bass might not be as appreciated here, oh well. ^_^

So Pendulum have released their new album this year, not sure when, but I see no topic about it on here.

In Silico has 10 tracks and I'm currently listening to them now, got to say it was worth the money so far and I'm throughly enjoying it so far.

Anyone else have it or like it? Any feedback? Any Milk?

The new album is decent but it's nothing compared to Hold Your Colour.

Yeah you should definitely try this one out. If you haven't been a fan of pendulum you should check out their other album 'Hold Your Color'

Yeah, HYC was epic but I think In Silico is worthy of praise too, some of their tracks on the new album are catching on such as 'Other Side' for me.

The more I listen to it, the more i like it, for months now I haven't got into any new albums and I'm glad a band like pendulum have released something that's top quality.

Hahahaha so I checked this band out because I thought the album artwork for In Silico looked cool. I picked up the album because what I heard sounded good, and I really like it. But everyone says Hold Your Colour is better, so I really need to check that out.

Well that's one way to get into a band lol Yeah 'In Silico' is class, but once you listen to 'Hold Your Color' you'll know the difference between class and epic. lol

If any of you are big Pendulum fans I suggest you check out the fansite
    http://www.pendulumlive.com

I work on there so i'm shamelessly plugging it :p
It's pretty cool though, lots of rares going about the place, the band do post sometimes. If you're ultra commited and have something to offer you could even join our team. Which means guestlist entry to gigs etc. I myself get photo passes for example being the pendulumlive.com official photographer :)

Lol, I'll register later and take a look around. Might even contribute a bit too :)

    ---------------------------

Now that I've listened to In Silico for 24 hours, It's different because now they've concentrated on getting lyrics in there, HYC was just spectacular beats with very few lyrics. Gotta say though, I don't think adding lyrics is a bad thing, think it's a new edge to them, and they certainly haven't disappointed, they still have an awesome beat.

Anyone think the starting to 'Show Down' sounds a bit like a White Strips song?

Personally, I think the album is highly disappointing. I was really impressed with Hold Your Color, but it seems they're trying too hard to become a straight rock act.

They lost their edge on this album. It has one good point, and that's Propane Nightmares, a very good song, solid Pendulum.

The rest are bland, same-y. Meh.

Hold your Colour was amazing but In Silico is pretty good....it doesn't have as much DnB as HYC though...maybe more melody? either way I really like granite, propane nightmares, tempest and 9,000 miles.
