Okay, so I watched Cloverfield again, and I must say that it was done perfectly. My only problems with it were the confusing parts with no explanation AT ALL, like why the pictures on the site say "1-18-08", and the camera and Rob, even at the end, says it's May 23 or something like that. Confusing, no? But yeah, amazing movie, quite possibly my favorite. 10/10

1-18-08 was just the release date.

No, I know that, but like, when you go to the site, the picture of Lily and Marlena is dated 1-18-08, and Marlena and Lily both look like they're dirty, and Lily looks like she's been crying. That means that either they lived past May 23 of '07, or that it happened may 23 of '08, OR, that Jason and Hud just screwed up and didn't set the date right on the camera.

I circled the things I'm talking about

Now, those pictures look like they were taken during the time period in which the monster was attacking, so I'd say someone screwed up somewhere.

    Jarhead - 9/10

I HATE war films with a passion, but this one was absolutely fantastic. I can see why some people would say it's dull and that nothing happens...but that's exactly the point. Fantastic film, fantastic acting.

It was just to promote the movie and it's release date. They all said 1-18-08 just because it coincided with the release date I'm sure. If you look, the picture on the far left and pictures on the right (below, with dust; above, crying/scared) are both from the movie.

The times are also technically off, because why would Lilly be crying and all that before the party?

    Unforgiven - 8/10

Considering this is a western, and a Clint Eastwood western, it was quite good. It wasn't full of a lot of cheesy dialogue and fight scene, and I was very impressed.

    American History X - 10/10

This...was fantastic. I was incredibly pleasantly surprised with this. This wasn't what I was expecting at all, but I was blown away. And the ending...well, my jaw dropped to the ground.

    Alvin and the Chipmunks (7.5/10)

It was cute, funny and I liked it a lot but it was too modernized to fit today's standards.

    The Last Samurai - 6/10

Yeah it was good, I was entertained throughout and it's a movie you should see, but definitely not a classic.

I'm about to see "The Bank Job" ...

    EDIT: Alright.

"The Bank Job" is awesome. This, to me, is Statham's best role. :) This is a different genre, not the usual action flick for Statham, so I can't really compare this character to his others. But, yeah, acting is superb. There's a major tonal shift halfway through which hits hard ...

    Superbad (8/10)

Superbad is starting to lose its status as an amazing movie for me. Maybe it's because I've seen it so many times already, but it just doesn't seem as funny as when I saw it in theaters with about 120 people all laughing and cheering at the same time.

Just saw "The Forbidden Kingdom" earlier today.

It uses cliches and pushes them further. Pretty good.

Jet Li pwnz. Just because I guess he's used to that sort of character. Epic redemption from "War" here, ha.

They didn't show "Alien: Resurrection"? Still, "Alien 3", IMO, is heaps better than its sequel.
So I'm guessing it wasn't that good? I was considering seeing that one.
