DOWN WITH DRM! Whatever that is. XD Anyway, it looks like I'm really going to go back and listen to some NIN now. I still remember at 6 years old, it would give me a headache. Now, I love it. Amazing how I've changed.
it's DRM-Free The Slip marks the first time Nine Inch Nails--or any artist of NIN's stature--has made its new album available completely and exclusively for free as a DRM-free digital download. The Slip is available as a high-quality MP3 or in a variety of lossless formats including, for the first time, a higher-than-CD quality 24 bit 96k version. All downloads include a PDF with credits and artwork. dunno what yalls problem is trying to burn it to a CDR. sure you aren't trying to burn flac? lmao
I dunno. I just couldn't do it. I had to convert it to .wma files, then burn it, because sadly, I have no other way to listen to it off the computer other than my stereo. I also couldn't burn Ghosts I to CD either when I tested, so I dunno if it's my computer or what.
don't know what everyone's problem is, but i just burnt it to a CD no problem. even if it didn't work, WE JUST GOT A FULL LENGTH NINE INCH NAILS ALBUM FOR FREE. jeez.
Notice why I wasn't totally bitching my pants off. I just said I couldn't burn it to a CD, which took away some of the fun, that's all. Love the album though.
I was trying to burn MP3 files to a CD-R, and it wasn't working. My problem with that was that the program I'm using converts each file to CD audio format and writes it. However, it was telling me I needed a pluing to complete the conversion. I tried it with something else, it happened again. So I burned The Slip as .wma files, and it worked. Then I could burn stuff normally again. Don't ask what happened, I don't know, and I'm too lazy to find out.
I'm pretty sure if Trent Reznor went against everything he's stood for over the past several years and released a DRM-encoded album, that would be quite worthy of bitching about. Plus, I would never in a million years consider anything involving DRM to be "free," regardless of whether or not you have to pay for it. But that's not the case here, so no further "bitching" from me.
The ONLY 2 Nine In Nail Songs I've ever heard and liked are Wish and Hand That Feeds I don't know I just could never get into some of the stuff I've heard before.
This is what I opened my inbox to find: [email protected] [email protected] nin: the slip download link 6:54 PM 2 k I had to use my Gmail account to get the link, because it was taking that long. I think it was sometime around 12 PM that I started waiting on this email. My email server and its spam filters... @Nick: It was the same way with me, mainly because at 6 or 7 years old, it gave me a headache listening to them, but now, I don't know what it is, I guess I just appreciate their music more now.
man, it's just music dude. just enjoy it. it's not some epic battle or something between the jedi (us) and the sith (riaa).
