I'm avoiding any gameplay videos like the plague. I'm not going to ruin the game by watching some shitty half assed in game video when I've got to wait 6 days to have the game in my hands. I can't believe anyone would want to download the leaked version anyway. I guess some people are just too cheap.
No it doesn't. I have an Xbox 360, have invested a lot of money into games for it, and I want GTA IV. Why should I have to go out and spend 500 bucks for a PS3 just to play one game? I wouldn't, and that would be a sale that Rockstar would lose. Fortunately, they came to their senses and are releasing it on both consoles.
Going multi-platform is almost a necessity in this console generation. It would be silly for Rockstar to make the game exclusive to one platform. Production costs for games have gone up so much that publishers need to make their games available to as many people as possible to maximize profits. This is especially true of a massive franchise like GTA, which will sell a boat-load regardless of what console it's on, so why not make it available to everyone and make even more money? The fact is, third party console exclusives are going the way of the dodo.
What are yo on about? They do it all the time, it's called the gaming industry. How about Metal Gear Solid 4, Tekken, Gran Turismo, etc? They're all PS3 games the 360 won't get. Well, straight away at least. As for getting big games from the Xbox on the PS3, it does happen. You're not going to get Halo on the PS3 simply because Bungie was a subsidary of Microsoft, so that was never going to happen. Microsoft paid a lot of money to keep Bungie exclusive. Also, you could completely reverse what you're saying and say why does GTA IV have to get released on the PS3? You're just basing it on the fact that GTA was always released on the playstation first. It's never been exclusive.
No im talking about giving The pS3 owners like myself a chance to play a very popular X Box exclusive on PS3.. and only a few GTAs have been released on the X box not all.. Thats all i want
If it's an Xbox EXCLUSIVE, it's not going to be on any other format now is it. If you want to play Xbox games so much, buy an Xbox, haha. To be fair, there's not really that many games the Xbox gets that the PS3 doesn't. Obviously the games Microsoft have a hand in, the PS3 won't get, and that's just the way it is.

Got GTA IV in the post this morning Needless to say, it is fucking amazing. You probably won't see me around here for a few days or so now.
Getting it Tuesday afternoon after I get off work. I'll probably play it for a couple of hours. I have to work 6 AM to 11 on Wednesday, and then I have Thursday, Friday & Saturday off. Goodbye, reality. Goodbye, LPA. Hello, GTA IV.
Halo was made by a subsidiary of Microsoft, Bungie (Microsoft's not going to release their biggest game on a rival console), and the PS3 is too low tech for GoW. Rockstar Games isn't owned by Sony, they can do whatever they want. They aren't controlled like Halo is with the 360 and Microsoft. There's a difference here.
*cough* MGS4 *cough* although I guess that could be released for 360 when the time comes for a director's cut.
Finally stopped the single player and gave myself the chance to play some GTA IV online today, and I have to say it is absoutely awesome. It's way better than I imagined it to be. Some details probably need ironing out, but overall it was a lot of fun. I had a quick blast on team deathmatch, and cops n' crooks, and both were fantastic.
Fuck you and you people in the timezones where it's April 29th Amazon just e-mailed me to let me know my GTAIV shipped. Will be here tomorrow (and if it's not, UPS can go and fuck themselves)
