Everyone does it, no matter who they are. There's at least one thing that you listen to, that, if you were to divulge it to your friends and/or family, they would look at you in confusion. Whether it's because it's so far apart from what they listen to, or because it's so far from what you normally listen to, you still get funny looks when you mention it. For instance, I listen to jazz a lot now. I used to listen to it off and on, but after we moved, I turned on my stereo, and the first station I came to was WUCF-FM. For those of you that are wondering, the station is run out of the University of Central Florida, and is indeed, a jazz station. Anyway, point is, I started listening to jazz then, and I've been doing so ever since. Another one is something that I've been sporadically listening to for about 3 years now. I will, from time to time, look around, and find a few albums that have medieval Europe type music on them, and listen to them. More recently, I haven't been able to find much, but I'm still listening to it. So, who else wants to share any "bizzare" things that you listen to?
Well.....that would be Kraftwerk + Joanna Newsom......my parents can't stand them but I adore theeeeeem!
I listen to Enigma and Enya. Both aren't bizarre but rather wayyy different than what I usually listen to.
Probably Listening to Killswitch Engage All the way through an Album, then Hellogoodbye or Zolof The Rock & Roll Destroyer all the way through. Musical Diversity WOOO But I guess some Techno gets stuck in my head and I will enjoy it.
A lot of musical diversity here... but then again anything I listen to is out of the ordinary for my parents, except Sade and smooth jazz. But I listen to that too, so yeah. My tastes aren't bizarre... they're eccentric.
If i played my friends Yael Naim - New Soul they'd probly think i was nuts, even more nuts than for the other music i listen to that they've never heard of.
Franz Schubert's "Mass in G Major" to Marilyn Manson's "Heart Shaped Glasses" to Loreena McKennitt's "The Mystic's Dream" to Daft Punk's "Around the World" to Britney Spear's "Toy Soldiers" to Tech N9ne "Caribou Lou". I think I win
Hmm, bizzare tastes? Well, considering I listen to just about everything, that's kinda hard for me to say, but a lot of people think the fact that I listen to the noise genre is weird. John Wiese is a prime example. Awesome stuff.
God I listen to bloody everything, but one band sticks in my head as bizarre indeed... The Sound Of Animals Fighting I have yet to find a person who likes them other than me, as they are "mo'fucking weird"
I dunno, I think my entire music taste is a bit bizarre in terms of the polar opposites I listen to I can listen to super happy Japanese pop/bubblegum pop like Puffy one minute, and then listen to the ridiculously hardcore and sadistic Combichrist right after. My diverse music taste scares me, let alone introducing anyone else to it. However, my family and friends have found my love for Jrock and Jpop very bizarre for the past 2 years. They still haven't quite gotten over how 'weird' it is >.> Also some of the Turkish and Latin (almost operatic) music I have on here is a bit bizarre.
i love straight up UK grime which is a lttle different from what i normally listen too Dizzee Rascal is a perfect example http://www.myspace.com/dizzeerascal
All of my friends are generally into whatever is 'in', and they all think I'm a tad bit weird for liking Rock, or metal in general. They only make an exception for Linkin Park. Everybody still remembers 'In The End' XD.
