Can't uninstall add-on from Firefox

I downloaded the Facebook toolbar for Firefox thinking it'd be useful but it's more annoying than anything so I wanted to get rid of it.

But it won't uninstall. I can disable it, but I can't uninstall it.

Anyone know how I can get rid of the stupid thing?

 

Try doing it via add/remove programs, it might have been it's own windows install.

 

I couldn't uninstall the add-on at all and I had to resort to uninstalling Firefox as a whole. The worst part is every time I reinstalled Firefox all the add-ons were still there. So I had to scour my hard drive for every trace of Firefox to get rid of the entire thing so I could start fresh. Needless to say I'm kind of mad about that.

 

Should have checked your profile folder, and removed all traces of the extension in there.

 

I didn't know it worked in this manner until after I'd uninstalled it. After I'd uninstalled Firefox I didn't know which "plugin" was the Facebook toolbar. So you can see the problem.

It's solved now anyway.
