Indeed. Although if it's bigger than one of my fingers, I usually light it and get the fuck out. The little tom thumbs are fun to light and throw at eachother. All they do is give you a numb limb for a few minutes.

Ah well. I can still survive on my father's collection for a good while yet, and you've got the Fourth of July and the other 49 states to acquire yours.

Life goes on.

 

I remember a couple years ago my friends went up to this place called Phantom Fireworks after the Fourth of July and managed to show up near the end of a "clearance sale" they were having. The dude basically gave hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks to my friends for free. If they would've went in there any other time, they'd have probably been charged upwards of $3,000, but they only spent around $600 for all those fireworks. The most ridiculous part about it is that we had most of those fireworks left until just recently. I found out some of them were confiscated when one of my friends was pulled over and his car was searched.
