so i've been sorting my iPod out today and i've been putting on my LPU cds..

everything is fine and dandy, except when i uplug my iPod, its only a little thing but it makes me wonder why its done so..

on my itunes account, i just have one album named 'Linkin Park - Underground v5.0'

but on my iPod itself, i have 'Linkin Park - Underground v5.0' and 'Linkin Park - Underground V5.0'

so now on my iPod i have two albums that are exactly the same, just that ones 'v5.0' and the other is 'V5.0'

its only a minor thing but if anyone could help me out that would be great :)

    thanks in advance JJ

well you could simply just change the ones on your ipod manually unless you sync it

Look at the albums of the individual songs. One or more of them will be labeled accidentaly with a capital V. Just manually change that and it should be taken care of

You could try highlighting all the songs when your iPod is plugged in (on your iPod) and check the info and change the album title. That should work.

delete the album name for all of the songs listed in that album name.

now insert the same or correct album name for the songs in that album.

this happens to me sometimes when import songs with different ID tags so i get two different albums of the same name only with different songs split amongst the same albums.

    Ok mine is similar.
I have 7 albums called Live In Texas.
All ripped from the same CD, all spelt the same, just my iPod seems to feel the need to split it up...
Same thing happens with Killswitch's End Of Heartache.

Yeah, I get the same problem all the time. Palingenesis' method seems to usually work for me.

I've had that happen too with a few CDs and it's fucking annoying. I've found that removing the songs from my iPod and readding them seems to do the trick. I don't know what's causing it.

    Been there.

I'll try Todd's method, when I can be bothered getting my iPod from upstairs.

And all other tags are the exact same? No random tags like maybe the disc number being on some tracks but not others?

Hah, yeah. Me too. 23,000+ songs with bad tagging? That just reeks of nightmare.
