I have an original Zune, and I lent it to a friend who kept it over night and fucking updated the software, so now I hate it to DEATH! Before, when it was simple, I loved it; now it's shit, mostly the computer library, but I hate the actual product as well. So, I wanna get a new one. I'm willing to spend around $250 for it, with 30gigs of memory at the least, and I really don't want the touch crap, I like buttons (or if it has touch, an optional 'change to press' thing) since I use it during school when I'm not supposed to. And I kinda want it to be easy to use so I can synch stuff to it quickly and such. Oh, and I'm not really looking for an iPod, but a friend said the 80 GB iPod Classic might be worth it.. so would it if they're arn't really any MP3 Brands tha'd work for me? Aw, fuck! Now it just deleted half my LP stuff that I didn't have on my comp!
As a fellow G1 zune owner, I share your pain as far as the computer software goes. It's buggy as hell, and will delete stuff from your player that isnt on your computer.
I agree actually. I had a Zen Micro and the volume adjustment stopped working and then the jack for the headphones short circuited so I couldnt listen to it with any pair of headphones. However, I have never had a single problem with any of my 3 (or 4 if you count my old ipod) iPods. Even after I dropped my 30GB in water.
Not even neccesarily for reliability reasons though. I've been through a few of them in my day. I just find every other player an absolute fucking bitch to manouvere around on. iPod got the design right and they're reaping the rewards.
I'm going to have to agree, iPod FTW. I know it's the 'cool' thing to rip on them nowadays (especially you Creative bastards, lol), but bite me
ipods are an obvious alternative. the new zunes won't do you wrong. creative and samsung also make some pretty good mp3 players. if you have a mac, you mine as well get a ipod.
I'd go for an iPod Classic, 160GB. Apple has the design and simplicity nailed down perfectly. Just wish they could fit a 500GB hdd in there. I'd be first in line for one of those.
There's the 32GB iPod Touch, which is pretty expensive (around $450, methinks). But the touch screen, interface, video capabilities, wireless internet, and battery life make it worthwhile. Plus, everyone will think you're cool.
I would check out some iRiver products. They had released some really cool mp3's around Christmas time. I used to have one, and I loved it.
Quickly! Make copies! They got any models with more than 1gig that doesn't have the touch tech? I could get another PS3 for that! <.< I could care less what everyone thinks about me. ^.^
Woah. Everyone hold up. You, my friend, need to get a record player. I'm talking old Vinyl record player, baby. That's where you should be spending your money. Carry that around, everybody's eyes will be on you.
