My 'must haves' includes a lot of music (more than 32gb for sure) and I know that I definitely DON'T have the most music out of everyone here.

There's never a moment when I'm not listening to music.

And on the rare occasions where I can't listen to music, I'm humming or playing music in my head.

And either way, what's the point of buying a 32gb iPod when I could save a little more money and get more bang for my buck?

theres never a moment for me either when im not listening to something.
    my daily life.
wake up to my cellphone with music.
turn on my stereo with my zune attach to play a random song.:)
I have speakers in the kitchen/bathroom/garage playing the song from my zune.
then when i drive to school or work, stereo bumpin with something.
when i walk to work or class i have my headphones on.
when working or in class i have AT LEAST one headphone on my ear.
hanging out with friends i have the music on low and still carry a conversation. ^_^
when i get home i have my lightswitch when it turns on my speakers turn on and my stereo turns on again...lol.
oh and when im outside i have those outdoor speakers to listen as well.
believe me i live with music.
and i know people do this as well. im just explaining what i have done to my house and how i live to stay myself alive...lol:p
    oh ps
when i sleep i put on some headphones and put it to sleep in one hour so when i sleep it turns itself off so i wont burn the house down cus i left it on.

and for those asking sometimes i do leave music behind for a day or week.
music is life and thats why we are here in this forums.:shifty:

Anyways, you know what would be cool? You know how they have that new MacBook Air? iPod Air. YEAH. Totally unnecessary coolness.

I remember when I got my 60GB iPod. My library was just under 60GB at that point in time. A few months later, I hit over 60GB. Maan, that was hell choosing. >_<

I too always have something stuck in my head. Since I don't have an iPod anymore (mine's broken), I've always got something in my head. And you know you're bad when you walk in time with your music. Oh, the life of a jazz bassist, never losing tempo...

I've had mine for some time now and I can easily say it's been one of my better self-frivolous purchases. I mostly use it for all the apps (jailbroken) but watch video podcasts on it, something I never could put up with on the tiny ass screen on my iPod video. The battery life on the touch is amazing. I once pulled a 15 hour shift, and after all that time of my music being on shuffle, only 1/4 of the battery was used.

    Let me clarify....

There's no way for a user to get around the Cisco Clean Access Agent, unless, as you said, he talks to the right people. But the right people are probably going to tell him to fuck right off. Network engineers implement these for a reason, they're not going to make exceptions, unless there's a damn good reason, and wanting to use an iPod to kill time during class isn't a good reason.

So, since I can almost guarantee you the right people won't let him bypass the clean agent, and there is absolutely no way for a user to bypass it on their own, there's no way around the clean agent. Simple as that.

itd be nice if the college made an alternative network either that or a cisco program for itouch, being able to get on the internet w/ my itouch at college would be nice... im surprised i cant just get onto it bc at my college ive heard of ppl w/ the fake linux cover for xp gettin on the internet w/ linux and bypassing cisco and then goin back to xp

despit its features, i find it to be a bit unconventional for ppl with 40gb's of media or more

Considering 80GB is cheaper, yea, I don't see the point in a Touch.

Obviously you don't go into buying a touch solely to hold your music collection. It works like a PDA, as it allows you to make appointments, surf the web, check your email, get detailed directions to and from places using google maps, stock tips, and weather. It's not an MP3 player, that's just one of its features.

I have an 80gb Classic that holds all my music (for long trips) and an iPod touch for everyday use since I can get online at work.

Wouldn't a real PDA be cheaper though?
I dunno, just asking out of curiosity.
