In addition to their one-stop Canadian trek at this year's Edgefest, Linkin Park are set to perform three shows in Europe this June, with more soon to be announced. The shows are:

June 6th - Rock In Rio Festival - Lisbon, Portugal
June 7th - Festimad Sur '08 Festival, Madrid, Spain
June 13th - Provinssirock Festival - Seinajoki, Finland
June 14th - Hultsfred Festival - Hultsfred, Sweden
June 15th - Greenfield Festival - Interlaken, Switzerland
June 20th - Heineken Jammin Festival - Venice, Italy

Presale info can be found at the band's official website.

    Source: LinkinPark.com and LPLive.net

Updated: Linkin Park have added an additional date for Madrid, Spain, which is now listed above. More updates to come as more dates are announced.

Updated again: More dates announced, this time for Switzerland and Italy!

Wow I never thought LPA would list my site as a source. That's awesome lol, thanks.

Anyway, Did you guys post about the Denmark and Switzerland shows? They were announced on the LPU, LP.com, LP MySpace and more official sites, but all traces of those 2 shows have disappeared completely. They had ticket links and everything. LPU presales, the whole deal.

They're totally gone now with no explanation. I wonder what happened. If LP canceled, some people are gonna be PISSED lol.

We didn't do a news post about the Denmark and Switzerland shows. I was going to put one up, but then they mysteriously vanished from LPU.

The shows in France are official right? Because I can't find them on LP's site but the site of the concert hall does announce them. I also went to a store today to get some info about the show but the person I got said the tickets were not on sale yet while the sites I've been on say that you could get them since the 28th.

Hard to say. One of the websites listing one of the France shows is the official website of the actual venue, so I really wouldn't doubt that they're happening, but I wouldn't try to buy tickets until the band announces the shows, just because people have gotten screwed out of their tickets from that in the past (see: London Ticket Shop's website selling tickets to the UK shows in January before they were announced).

On the danish show. Skive Beach Party has an official radio about the show. I haven't heard it myself but apparently they are advertising with Linkin Park as their head act. So I think the odds is that Linkin Park WILL play on Skive 5/6-08 .

But I admit that the situation seems very strange.

    Edit:

Direct qoute from "Radio Skive": This summer there's Beach Party yet another time. This years head act Linkin Park has been anounced/set fast (not sure if that's English but that's the direct translation) here's another artist you can experience this summer (continiues to anounce a danish singer).

So I think it is pretty sure. My theory is that Linkin Park accidentally anounced it earlier than planned. Skive Beach party says on their website that the head act for the festival will be anounced very soon and that it will be BIG.
