You know, I just wish I knew how to word things right so I could make my own opinion out of all of this.

 

Actually you're like my favorite member.

Brownie points aside, what I tried to accomplish failed and no one's understanding the point I'm trying to make. I feel like I should have just kept my mouth shut.

Look, bottom line guys...the LPA should be one place where we can escape our problems.

Let's be honest here...for most of us, Life sucks right now. The US is close to what seems to be a depression. Unemployment rates are through the roof (especially here), it's Mid-Term time at colleges. We all need to just take a look at what we have here. This place is special. This is a life away from life and everyone needs to just come here and forget about what's going on outside. Forget about the hardships of life. Just have a good time, because you don't have many places like this where you can get away.

 

Amen dude. Out of all the school, long work days, tiring homework, eating, and sleeping, I have very little free time anymore and I usually come here. It's great to be able to have a little corner of the interweb that I can call 'home' and just chill with some fun people.

 

Thanks, guys. I wasn't really looking for sympathy so much as I was looking to make sure people weren't going to look at me differently for an ill-fated attempt to help out.

Plus you might catch a disease from me.

My life ain't exactly the best now either. And when you have rarely any friends around anymore here, this is like a second home to me. And I don't want that gone.

I don't want to gloat or generally be a cocksucker, but my life is fucking fantastic.

Perhaps LPA just isn't for me.

 

Adding on to my previous post, I think I should congratulate Derek and the mod staff (not trying to kiss ass here, just being sincere in a time of turmoil)...I have never seen a board online like this one. It's a Linkin Park forum but that really isn't what it's about. You guys have managed to create a website/message board where people can feel comfortable revealing themselves and start what seems to be a circle of friends. The LPA really is unlike any other board I've gone on. It's more like a social networking site. I have seen some really good friendships on here and I hope I have made some friends on here in my 5 years. Derek has created one of the best and well-standing message boards I have ever seen. There's obviously some criticism but no one here can say that they would never play favorites if they ran this board. Obviously there are members on here that are more liked than others and it would be hard for one of the mod staff or Derek to just outright ban them from what seems to be their second home. I don't think many people are taking the time to look at it like that.

EDIT: I worded part of that wrong. I didn't mean that members are obviously more liked. What I meant to say was that this place means more to some people than other people and that's obvious. The mod staff/Derek can see that.
