But anyways, they figured it out before I could tell them.

 

About a half hour ago I found out one of my best friends who claimed he had left for Florida hasn't gotten to Florida and hasn't even left the state of Ohio to go to Florida.

What I don't understand is what he thought he had to gain by lying to everyone and telling us all he was going to Florida if he wasn't and what he thought he had to gain by lying even further by telling us about events which were transpiring in Florida such as his grandmother going to the hospital.

I can't believe he'd lie to everyone. What's worse is he blew everyone off the weekend before he supposedly left so I didn't get to hang out with him and neither did my other best friend and a handful of friends from university.

I think what makes everything even more worse than that is the fact that he keeps telling people he'll hang out with them when he "comes back from Florida in about two weeks." How convenient for him that it just so happens that he's "coming home" in two weeks to hang out with two decently hot girls from the area.

He told me he wasn't even supposed to be home for a year and then I found out he started telling people he's coming home in two weeks. It's all too convenient for him to be "coming back" if he never left and he's going to be coming out of hiding pretending like he was in Florida.

My best friend and I had a suspicion he never left. It was only solidified when my friend's best friend told another friend of mine to give him a call since he and the friend who was supposed to go to Florida were always looking for things to do which would imply that either he went with my friend to Florida or my friend who was supposed to go to Florida never left.

Jackass.

What a God damn douche bag.

I'd like to point out that he claimed he was supposed to have left at the beginning of January around the 10th or 11th. So he's been "gone" for more than a month.

Friend: Did you lose your virginity?

I don't want to come off as all "woe is me" and whatnot, but is a relationship after seventeen years really THAT much to ask for?

I'm so depressed, more so now than usually. It just seems my life is at a standstill, all my friends have relationships and work keeping them busy and we never hang out anymore. I try to find things to occupy my time but nothing helps, I'm always in this state of boredom, even when doing things I use to love doing. I'm extremely alone and sometimes I wonder is it worth it to go on. All I have is a dream that will never come true, false hope and this static loneliness. I need something to help me pull through this, I need shield, I need comfort.

 

I don't want to go home. And by home, I don't mean my mother's house, because I actually feel safe there. I mean I don't want to visit my friends or my father or go to work. Because it's in Brockton.

And I am so sick of Brockton. I was fucking born and raised there, I shouldn't have to be afraid of it. But that's a tally of 18 deaths now since this morning since last summer. 18 DEATHS.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH BROCKTON?! Shooting an 88 year old man in his backyard for no reason? Shooting a cab driver because he was helping someone? Shooting a 15 year old boy to death?

What is wrong with this place. What is wrong with the world. Why is there so much gun violence. Making them illegal won't stop anything, but we have to do something. I'm so afraid I'm going to lose my family or friends to some dumbass with a gun. I just can't stand it anymore.
