Does this song remind anyone else of Linkin Park at all?

I found The Black Parade really... eh. That song's definitely better than most of that album imo.

The intro sounds somewhat like LP.

Is it sad that I really don't care much for these guys anymore?

I know. To each their own and stuff.

Don't get me wrong, if you've seen the threads, I love The Black Parade. It's just aged horribly for me. I'll still listen to it, but not as much as I used to. Maybe once a month or two.

From the 'top emo band' to wanna-be Green Day band!? o-o I think I'll like this. >_< I can't listen to the song though.

I've never really cared much but for three or four songs by them.

That does kind of sound like LP.

Anyway, who cares what style it is. All that matters is that the songs are
good. Plus, if they tried to write another album akin to the Black Parade,
they'd likely fail. I like the direction they seem to be going in.

    That song sounds pretty good.

The problem with songs coming out this early before the album release date, is that they are prone to changes, and it's really 50/50 whether the changes the band makes actually makes the song better. I just hope we get a studio recording of this version (with maybe slight changes to the chorus, I guess, if they did change something)

I think the song reminds me a lot of Linkin Park...at least in the beginning.

I like it. I actually think it's really good and hope a studio version comes out of this.

Wow. Sounds pretty good. I agree with Derek. I hope the studio version comes out soon.

The more I listen to this song, I am convinced it is just one incredible song. I can relate to it so much, and just from hearing the chorus alone it is probably one of my favorite MCR songs to date.

And this is from hearing a crappy low quality bootleg with no studio version for me to compare it to.

If this is the direction MCR is going in, I embrace it with open arms.

I wouldn't say that the intro is specifically LP, but it's prevalent in a lot of music, but whatevers.

I like it, I hated Black Parade, I prefered Three Cheers over it by a long way.

    I'm excited for this cd.

I don't like the "new song" at all.

But I'm not big into most of their music anyway. I hate Gerard Way.

I'll still give the album a shot when it comes out, just like I did with The Black Parade, which I thought was a trainwreck.

Oh hell yes. I'm just pleased they're already talking about a new album. My favourite would have to be Bullets, then Revenge, with TBP coming third. For some funny reason I like the rawness of bullets. Can't wait for this new album. My love for MCR hasn't waned, heh.

Since I'm at school, without earphones, I'll have to listen to this new song a bit later. But I seem to remember watching it a couple of times on Youtube.

At first, I hated the new song but they added a new intro and it seemed to add a lot of depth to the song for some reason. It's really grown on me.

The idea that the next album is gonna be a lot more stripped down is a big plus for me. I was getting really tired of all the theatrics.

Wow, the beginning really does resemble Linkin Park's style in ways. Decent song imo.
