I crack myself up. This is me trying to find out how to get ahold of the 99.99 necessary to buy a Squier Bullet Strat from Sam Ash:

"Hey, I wonder how much my Apple IIe would sell for? (looks on the internet) Damn! One of these things sold for 7000 dollars! Oh, crap, most of them only sell for like 100. Damn. Well, that's enough, I think, if you count the 25 bucks i've already got."

I'm so desperate for a guitar right now. I don't even care if I have an amp.

No one sounds like Michael Jackson. At least from what I've heard in these 20 years.

 

Who do Chester Bennington, Axl Rose, Layne Staley, Amy Lee and Kurt Cobain sound like then?

Key word there was "most".

Although I've certainly heard alot of post-grunge Cobain sound-a-likes. Amy Lee doesn't have that unique a voice I reckon. Alot of similar voices go round in the underground jazz and R&B circuits.

My comment wasn't all to do with voice solely mind. Style and all that came into it. His voice radiates "this is the only place you'll here this".

Can't say that about the lad's you've listed, and i'm a fucking huge AIC, Guns N' Roses and Linkin Park fan.

@Cale: There are a lot of unique singers out there... and all the better known ones are so well known because of their unique voice, being first to bring that style to the public...

It's not fair. My mate Lewis' band, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, is really taking off. They've opened for Mika and Razorlight and have played Glastonbury festival and at Earls Court and the 02 arena. The harsh fact is that their music isn't very good at all.
