Civil War and One More Day were set within the Marvel Universe when they were written. Either of those events will have to be set as an alternate universe now that One More Day is finished.
The way the Divorce rate is I'd say People have been thinking that for a while now ----------------------------------------- They said that the writers never wanted to Marry Spiderman but..if that was the case. They should have fixed it a long time ago. Not write a lot of Story's and then say "Shit we can't do anymore with this storyline..RESET"
Well, they did try to fix it. Several times. Peter and MJ were separated for a time, they threw in an idea that Parker's clone married MJ, etc. While controversial, I think One More Day was the best way they could have killed off the marriage storyline.
True, but now Marvel is specifically pinpointing a group of people. Can you imagine what this is going to do to married nerd couples? The divorce rates are going to sky rocket!
This picture just proved me wrong about my Civil War theory. The event did happen, but no one remembers who Spider-Man was when he unmasked.
if you want to get technical, they didn't get divorced. TECHNICALLY, in the Marvel universe now, they were never together.
The whole Marvel universe is too confusing with it's constant killing offs, returns, time travel etc. I wouldn't at all be surprised if somewhere down the line Spidey manages to undo the undone (if that makes any sense) and he and Mary-Jane get back together, Captain America is reborn and Aunt May is kept alive. If just barely. After all, it's just a comic book. People can write whatever the hell they want which means there's an open door for any number of possibilities.
Well, Hellflame, Bucky (or Winter Soldier) is going to be the new Captain America. Casey: I've been saying that the whole time. Divorce wasn't even mentioned in the article that Rachel posted.
