Flying.

I departed, number one in the circuit, with a plane on short final behind me doing a touch/go. He was told to follow me (making him #2), and another airplane holding short was told to takeoff after #2 was past, and follow him (#3). #2 made a pretty early turn and cut me off, but well ahead of me (I was pretty far out there...extended the departure leg to make room for an excercise I wanted to do), so they made me #2...so by this time, I'm beside the end of the runway, and I look to my right...and my window is filled with a Cessna 152 about 500ft away from me, heading right at me...seems #3 also took an early turn, against his instruction... Had to flip the plane on its back and do a (textbook) split-S maneuver to get the fuck outta there, and that move bottomed me out around 200ft above ground.

I gave the guy in the 152 royal shit when I got back...I hope transport canada has a word with him too...if I was a half second slower reacting to that, he woulda picked me off...he only missed by about 100ft.

Fuck, I swear, one of these days, this flying thing's gonna get me killed.

 

Ah the strike! Dang! Oh well, I'm downloading episode 11 atm. Let's see what it has in store lol.

Thank god you know how to fly like that, I mean what if you haven't learned to do that maneuver properly yet and someone makes a huge error like that...

 

Yeah. I've done a split-S once or twice before, but not seriously. The one I did yesterday was more of a 'holy shit' manuever than anything else. At least it worked.

I'm sure that the other guy realized how bad he fucked up when he saw nothing but the underside of a wing, falling away from him. Too bad I wasn't in good position to give him the finger
