You need to get your ears checked then.

Bad quality rips don't do the songs justice. But I do concur, some people are OiNK seemed obsessively compulsive about having the utmost quality. V0 is good enough for me.

    all this talk about quality

i can listen to a song recorded with a device if its the only version of it.

but like Panic! at the discos cover of Tonight Tonight i have it in 128 Kbps but to any of you it might sound like it was recorded with a camera or something

and yeah when i listen to my Minutes To Midnight CD and then listen to 128 MP3 version's of it..the ONLY difference i ever notice is that its louder and can go louder, which to me i could care less

Hm, speaking of Minutes to Midnight, that reminds me. When I listened to the original leak, which was in lesser quality, my ears hurt. When I finally got my hands on a FLAC copy, my ears were in heaven.

Anyway, since this is the OiNK topic, not quality comparison topic [do feel free to start that pointless argument up in a new topic though]... TPB has control over oink.cd AND oink.me.uk and has turned it into...a waffles site, by the looks of it. I'm honestly curious what they're up to with it, as I would think boink would be on a different domain. Speaking of which, apparently "boink" seriously means "to have sex with" [if you don't believe me, go to dictionary.com]

Boink or Oink 2.0, whatever they want to call it is going to be horrible. The Pirate Bay is so unorganized with their torrent site, they will ruin Oink's good name. The talk is that the server is moving to Sweden and it's going to be a public tracker; so no "elite" copies of anything. Oink was the best, and will never be replicated unless they bring it back with invite only, new servers somewhere, and keep the "nazi mod" mentality on all the music.... man, I miss that place :(

Alright, since I've never decided to actually look it up, can someone explain to me how to use FLAC?

FLAC is playable in the newest Winamp and ITunes. :)

As for how to make a flac file, I believe Exact Audio Copy is capable of doing so (google it).

Oh okay, thanks! I could never get the files to play in anything I had before, but now that you can play em in iTunes, I think I'll start getting some albums in FLAC.

It's been playable in foobar, and that's what you all should be using.

Dear Lord. Reznor paid $5000 for In Rainbows.

He's trying to make us all look bad.

    You frustrate me.

With this publicity it's never going to be what OiNK was.

Yeah, because no one knew about OiNK. lol

OiNK was what it was because of the exclusiveness of it all, not because no one knew about it. Basically everyone knew about OiNK.

Not really. You didn't talk about OiNK. You didn't spread the word about it. OiNK didn't even have a Wikipedia entry until this publicity hit.
