To put it bluntly:

The Ottoman Empire (early Turkey) killed off 1.5 million Armenians between 1915-1917 in the form of a genocide

Problem is, they won't admit to the genocide. They admit to the deaths, but they don't admit to them doing it.

So now Turkey and America are beefing because Congress has got a resolution saying we recognize the genocide, and Turkey's one of our hugest allies.

And I support the Armenians, because there's a quote from Hitler in his justification for the Holocaust, "I have issued the command -- and I’ll have anybody who utters but one word of criticism executed by a firing squad -- that our war aim does not consist in reaching certain lines, but in the physical destruction of the enemy. Just, I had never knew of Armenia until Jay started dating Christine, who is full blooded Armenian. I learned everything from her, and when I ever saw that my history book in class called it a "massacre", I lost it.

1.5 million people is not a massacre.

It is a fucking genocide, and Turkey should grow some balls and admit it.
