So what does everyone think is the best, most classic game you've ever played? Justify it if you want to, but try to only list one game, just to make it easier to see what the most popular ones really are. So for me, its easily Final Fantasy VII. Ahead of its time, the CG cut scenes were so amazingly groundbreaking for 1997. The storyline is like reading an amazing fantasy book, and there's more emotion in that game than any other as far as I'm concerned. And seriously, Cloud is still the coolest video game character ever. Thats indisputable
i dont know it was a GREAT game and im not gonna start a conversation about it but for ME it was The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask When i was a kid it was my favorite game to play, even if i didn't know how to do anything on it when i was little I just love the whole 3 day time span and the masks. I have the Zelda collectors edition for Gamecube which includes Majoras Mask, Ocarina of Time, and the 2 original Zelda games, for NES and SNES i have every mask in the game, including Fierce Deity's mask and fully upgraded equipment, and some boring days i find myself playing it
There's so many that I just LOVE. So I'll just give you my list.. in no particular order. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, FF VII, FF XII, Okami, Katamari Damacy, Guitar Hero II, God of War, Super Smash Bros., GoldenEye 007, Haunting Ground, Lego Star Wars, Age of Empires, Halo, etc. <3
FFXII disapointed me actually. Like, it's a good game, but the storyline just never drew me in the way the other FF games do.
In terms of personal replay value: the Halo series (2 and 3, especially). Followed by the Grand Theft Auto series for its innovativeness, Max Payne series for its storytelling, and NHL 04, 07, and 08 for its fun factor. And who could forget how fun the Mario games were for SNES and 64. And there was Duckhunt, of course.
FFVII But I have to admit...LOZ: Ocarina of time was a great game too...I've played through it a countless number of times and it never gets boring.
Kind of off topic, but Billy Mitchell seriously killed Pac-Man for me on so many levels as he did with Donkey Kong.
For me it would probably be out of Metal Gear Solid, Zelda: Link To The Past, Silent Hill 2, Starwing, Half Life, Championship Manager 01/02, Denki Blocks and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

The rush I got playing GTA III through the first time hadn't, hasn't and I don't think ever will be repeated. Fantastic game.
