http://www.popcrunch.com/chris-crocker-tv-deal-cancelled/#more-7156 HAHA! And even better: http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/articles/2007/10/03/1191091150566.html -- All I have to say is...MEGA OWNNNNNNNNNED.
Even better is that his fame will die out in a month or two, but those leaked nudes will populate the net forever. OWNED.
Oh I could rant on and on about this douche bag... But I'll be nice and keep it short. If anyone does not deserve the spotlight it's Chris Crocker. At least not with this shtick he calls "entertainment". It sends an awful message to other aspirers and suggests the easiest way to get famous is to act like a jackass and post it on the Internet. I'm all for doing something different to stand out, but people like Chris Crocker just ooze everything wrong about trying to get yourself noticed. I personally take offense when people like Chris Crocker are allowed to be whored out on television as entertainment while others who actually do something productive get squat. I'm glad the man has been rid of his chance to continue this shtick of idiocy on television--it's bad enough we're reminded of it here on the Internets, let's leave it at that and force him to fade... fade far away. I know I'm getting real preachy with this, but I really, really dislike people like Chris Crocker. The last straw came when my local news actually reported on the Leave Britney Alone video. The local news glorifies sports, pop culture, tragedy and idiots like Chris Crocker, but the truly inspired and creative get the shaft. It was funny for the first few minutes but just like every other Internet sensation, it ends up becoming a thorn in your side you just can't get rid of.
One big QFT right here. I too take offense to people getting noticed for being attention whores. I don't think its appropriate and I am glad something was done about this.
