    Off the top of my head I'd say Jesus Christ by Brand New. I was listening to the album last night and yeah, I feel even more empathetic towards its lyrics than any of the other songs.

    I also recommend Just Like Heaven- The Cure (or even better, the AFI cover of that song!).

    I almost cried when I heard it.

    I cant think of any songs right now, but I would like to ask...am I the only one who has never gotten depressed over an NIN song? I guess trent's songs just don't have as much of an impact on me as most people. If anything I get angry rather than sad to some of their songs.

    I can somewhat relate to this, although I don't think a song that is depressing in nature, neccesarily has to mean that you get depressed while listening to them. Reznor's songs don't drive me to become more depressed, but give me something to relate to and help me out of a depressive mood.

    NIN definately has an emotional impact on me, just not a depressing one. Although Reznor has written his fair share of depressing songs fo' sho'.

    My sentiments exactly. I don't know what it is, though. Great song-writing, good sense of mood, yet anger and hostility is all I can conjure up. Weird. :lol:
