A discovered what was my problem with the album and created a version that i totaly love i just sat down and gave the album a chance and listen to each song thinkin... Would i listen to this if it wasnt LP??? so this is the tracklist that completely satisfied me: 1. Wake 2. Given Up 3. Leave Out The Rest 4. Bleed It Out 5. What Ive Done 6. No More Sorrow 7. In Pieces 8. The Little Things Give You Away Half an hour of pure LP sweetness!!! To the people that completely hate M2M try it this way and you'll hear that it gets a 100 times better it just needed to get rid of the crap!!!
There's a game you can play where you listen to a song and think of another song that it sounds like. No More Sorrow and Miss Murder, Shadow Of The Day and With Or Without You, the lead guitar from What I've Done and the guitar from the start of Blueprint by Fugazi and so on, if there are more.

Gotta disagree. I don't like Valentine's Day but HHH is a clever well written song, Shadow of the Day builds up beautifully to a great ending and In Between could be better but it's not a bad song. Just because a song is soft doesn't make it bad
It doesnt have anything to do with being soft V's D is a bad song, its just LP trying to be EMO to sell to a new generation of teens HHH is not a rock song it doesnt even has guitar in it (not guitar = shit!!!) In Between what they were thinking??!!!! (no guitar again :s) Shadow Of The Day = U2 (U2 = shit!!!) its a matter of taste, i would never listen a linkin park song with no guitar in it
You might as well be saying anyone who's recorded a power ballad is trying to be emo. And yeah, HHH does have guitar in it. It might not be semi-heavy stuff like Given Up and No More Sorrow but still. If you're saying a song has to be rock for it to be good then... well... what planet are you living on?
You are person with very fixed opinions, I can tell you don't like to venture out of the realm of what you think "good" music is. I think your post was lacking many sorely needed "in my opinion"s. I'm sure you could've got your point across in a more friendly, non-stuck-up-yourself way.
People throw around the word Emo so much that I think they forgot what it originally meant. I actually read a review of one of the PR shows where the reviewer said something along the lines of "Linkin Park created emo." WOW... thank you for informing me of that senor dumbfuck!
Hands Held High and In Between both have guitar in them. Furthermore, do you like Cure for the Itch? That has no guitar in it. Valentine's Day is not emo. Writing a song about missing someone close to you who died is not emo. If that's emo, half the fucking folk songs from the 30s and 40s are emo.

Nicely said Tasta. Though I agree with you Arbaks about the certain songs you don't like. I was exactly the same at the start but the've all grown on me so much and I love the album so much now. I even sing in between on occasion lol
While I dont agree that songs have to have guitars to be good, I do agree with the cuts that arbaks made. Valentines Day, Hands Held High, Shadow of a Day, and In Between were all mediocre tracks in my opinion. Actually, I would probably take out Leave Out All The Rest as well.

V's D is as EMO as it can get, i mean "being alone in a valentine's day" (cheesy, painfuly whiny = EMO) HHH doesnt have guitar only a organ, ive seen the videos playing it live, Brad is playin keyboard In Between is boring and it doesnt have anything to do with Mikes voice, actualy Mike is the best thing about the song SOTD sounds so much like U2, that i think Bono should ask for a check Im saying a "LINKIN PARK" song has to be rock to be good to me, i dont wana hear straight up POP from LP like the songs that i had to cut out
