I guess Knight's biggest problem is consistency, and if he can get over that he should be okay. Not to mention he's a Villa fan so maybe that'll give him more impetus to play well like it probably did with Ian Taylor.
Maloney! He looks a bit like Steve Gutenberg actually. Also, get well soon to Clive Clarke who collapsed.
Apparently he's out on bail and he hasn't been charged, so hey, it could be worse. Don't make any jokes about how he'd be better for us in jail. Davies is also close to signing and we're getting the same response as when Young signed, "He's overrated and overpriced" and all that.
Good to see Arsenal got their usual 'group of death' Our group is decent. Roma again will be tricky. Kiev will be a bitch in the snow. Sporting should be alright home and away. Group A Liverpool Porto Marselles Besiktas Group B Chelsea Valencia FC Shalke Rosenburg Group C Real Madrid Werder Bremen Lazio Olympiakos Group D AC Milan Benfica Celtic Shaktar Donetsk Group E Barcelona Lyon VFB Stuttgart Rangers Group F Manchester United Roma Sporting Lisbon Dynamo Kiev Group G Inter Milan PSV CSKA Moscow Fenerbache Group H Arsenal Sevilla/AEK Athens Steau Bucharest Slavia Prague Cech is UEFA club keeper of the year. Maldini is UEFA club defender of the year. Seedorf is UEFA club midfielder of the year. Kaka is UEFA club forward of the year. Kaka is UEFA club footballer of the year.
I see Rangers have a nice easy group, Barca and two teams who were champions in their respective countries last season. Come on Stuttgart/Hitzlsperger.
We used to always get the group of death, it's only recently we havn't been in one. Percides last season we didn't exactly have an easy group. Porto - a very unpredictable team and champions of Portugal, CSKA Moscow - any trip to the east of europe is gonna be hard during the winter, and Hamburg - probably the easiest of all three but have some quality players like Van Der Vaart. I think it's safe to say that niether Rangers or Celtic will go through. Celtic probably have a better chance because I could see them beating Shakhtar and Benfica at home, it's just their away form is terrible and will probably be their downfall. What does everyone think about Bently and Ashley Young being selected in the England squad? I personally think it's way too early for either of them.
Bentley no...Ashley Young...yeah i think its too early for Young, he's hardly played any top flight football but Bentley has assured potential....
Wow, if you include Carson we have three players in the squad. Something's very wrong. But yeah, they've played well for the under-21s which is something and I can't think of anyone else anyway. And they're both more worthy than Dyer who is pretty much crocked.
Dyer is pretty much unfortunate...however he is quite a jackass....soooo...BUT ANYWAY, i wonder how Carson still does not have a cap...or does he? someone please enlighten me!
No, Carson doesn't have a cap yet. Davies on loan for the season with nothing definite regarding a permanent move? Good deal.
We baught Lassana Diarra from Chelsea. I think it's a decent signing to be honest, he seems to be a decent Midfielder and Right-Back and he's only 22 so he'll certainly improve.
