Yep. I also remember the time that his dad went up for a corner against us and didn't make it back to the goal.
Kasper's actually a bit shite I reckon. But it's probably due to age more than anything else. A miracle he kept the premiership out for so long. I hope we can bloody well batter Spurs today. Or else I feel the Premier League could slip away mighty quickly.
Apparently the FA's looking into whether Kasper (Forgot how to spell his surname) qualifies for England because he's spent most of his life in the UK. What's the point? He's no better than Carson or Foster, and the former is practically guaranteed first-team football for the season.
I think it's more of a quiestion about his future than him being called up now. It would be stupid to call him up to any squad be it England or Denmark because he's only 19 and it's far too early to judge him as a keeper yet because he's only played 4 times for Man City. Altho then again, Theo Walcott hadn't played a single game for us when Sven called him up.
Foster did get called up after one season with Watford and a handful of games with Kidderminster and Wrexham, and Schmeichel isn't far off that level of 'experience'. In fact he's probably played more than Carson did before he started going out on loan.
Foster is nowhere near the level of requirement to be an international. Carson is probably more in with a shout because he's got more U21 caps and he's probably better but even then he's not ready. But then again, I consider Carson to be alot better than other options like Kirkland so maybe 3rd choice is okay for him. For now though David James should be strongly considered as number one once again. Time after time we've had faith in Robbo and he's let the national team down with some terrible performances. It's true that England lack top quality keepers but Kasper Schmeichal shouldn't be considered, at least not yet. Speaking of keepers it's proper weird seeing Kasey Keller back in the premiership.
Keller isn't too bad, he looks like this teacher from my secondary school who seemed really dodgy though and as such he reminds me of him.
Big Pete has already told England to look elsewhere for a GK in regards to Kasper. The stories on Skysports.com On an unrelated mattter. NANI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This talk of the Schmeichels is making me feel depressed at the thought of the last time we had a genuinely good goalkeeper. Enckelman doesn't count despite being the folk legend of folk legends.
Well Enckleman wasnt ever realyl terrible is just that he always seem to be put out by new keepers coming in and new managers...sooo....lets just remmeber how he fluffed up at B'ham 2002/03!
3 points is 3 points. We've got Saha and Anderson fit for the game against Sunderland which is a huge boost. Saha especially is exactly what we've needed so far, and i'm eager to see what Anderson can do in the Premiership. Hopefully we can go on some sort of run now, and stuff the other's in the "Big Four" along the way.

Come to think of it what would be the point of Knight at all?
I'm really surprised Villa havn't added to their squad more to be honest. With Randy Lerner and Martin O'Neill coming in I thought that Villa could break into the top 6 but I don't see that happening with their current squad I'm afraid. Especially if Zat Knight is in your defence.
I'm guessing they're trying to not make the mistake West Ham did by signing Mascherano and Tevez... but Knight? I've seen him play well about twice and the rest of the time it seems as if his team would only be safe if they were winning 4-0. Knowing our luck Laursen will break every bone in his body as soon as Knight signs. Still, I think the team that played the second half against Fulham is good enough to make Europe provided we sign a right-back. Then it's just a question of everyone staying fit and Carew actually reaching fitness.
why was Zat Knight even called up for England those one or two times anyway? Besides filling in the big defender role...
Because Sven gave many players a chance at senior level. That's one thing we can actually credit him for in his time as England manager.
