Okay i hope this has never been done before but here it goes.
Post bands you like that a large majority of the people here have never heard of. You can post local bands or whatever. Things to included are a brief discription, what sort of music they play, whereabouts (not in too much detail, lol) and maybe a myspace link. Post away.

sorry about thread title i'm not sure how to change it to we've?

    CALABRESE!

The lead singer looks like the lost child of Trent Reznor and Glenn Danzig, with a voice hybrid of Davey Havok and Glenn Danzig (imagine Davey doing a realy good Danzig impersonation without marbles in his mouth).

    HORRORPUNK FTW <333

i'll post the link later, im lazy <3

    Pleymo.

A french nu-metal band from Paris. The band is composed of six musicians: Mark "Kemar" Maggiori (vocals), Frank "Kefran" Bailleul (DJ and vocals), Erik Villoutreys (guitars), Davy "Vost" Portela ( guitars), Benoit "B-1" Juliard (bass) and Fred "Burns" Ceraudo (Drums).
They're very famous in France, Japan and a bit in Russia. Here is the link: http://www.pleymo.net/

    TERA MELOS

Think Black Flag meets Thelonious Monk meets early Mars Volta. Really good instrumental band from Sacramento, California.

    http://www.myspace.com/teramelos

    THIS WILL DESTROY YOU

Beautiful, yet upbeat instrumental band from San Marcos, Texas. The use of keys really makes this band sound so amazing. Quiet is the best post-rock track I've ever heard.

    http://www.myspace.com/thiswilldestroyyou

    YNDI HALDA

Something from England. Those who like Godspeed You! Black Emperor would really love this. Just like GY!BE but with no political agenda's. Once again, amazing instrumental band.

    http://www.myspace.com/yndihalda

    CIRCLE TAKES THE SQUARE

Amazing, almost poetic screamo. Best lyrics I've ever read, As the Roots Undo is probably the best album ever. If anyone wants to hear a personal favorite of mine, Interview at the Ruins, ask, I'll up. An excellent blend of chaos and beauty.

ZOLOF THE ROCK & ROLL DESTROYER

My best friend, Rachel Minton' band. Really, really fun pop punk / powerpop. Seriously, if you ever want a smile put on your face, just listen to a track by them. Plus, she (Rachel) wrote Argh, I'm a Pirate to me, which is cute. But yeah, really fun band that makes you want to move and smile.

    Ever We Fall

Great band thats sort of hard to put in one genre. Sort of pop-punk, mixed with alternative rock. Im not sure, but trust me there good. Listen to "No Words To Describe", its amazing.

    Thornley

You might have heard of them, as they had one big song, but most people dont know of them. There a great rock band with a great singer. Try "Beautiful", its one of there best songs.

    The Shins

Absolutely amazing. Might have heard of them before, as they are kind of in the middle of well known, and not known. They're just great, listen to Pink Bulllets, its there best song in my opinion.

hey I know The Shins. saw them on SNL, they were pretty good! I couldn't listen to them for a long period of time though, a little too soft. Panda is a local band near me that got nominated on Live 105's top 5 local bands to open up for BFD, but they didn't win. I still think they're good though.

    The Bronx

They're not the most unknown band around nor are they local but I've been recommending them to people for the past couple of years, usually in vain. Think Kyuss or QOTSA condensed into a punk band.

Most of the unknown local bands I can think of aren't much special anyway.
