They're really starting to push it, I'm not really looking forward to this. The stiches are creative though, I'll only see this to check out the traps.
ehh i hate Saw movies..but i kept thinkin if he found somethin sharp enough to cut the stiches on his mouth he could communicate with the guy better not just turn on him
Actually no. I've seen the posters. One is two pairs of surgical scissors resembling the "four" in Roman and the other is * Jigsaw's head in a weighing table*. I covered up the description of the other poster just in case anyone hasn't seen the third one.
pretty cool trap, but I'm starting to doubt the Saw series. I absolutely love the Saw series, but if they push more gore than 3, I may start to bow out of the "fandom". I don't really like a lot of gore, but I absolutely love the story and the "mindfuck" that each movie has given us. and on a sidenote, JigSaw is the most badass villian any movie has seen in a long time.
I agree 100%! If they keep putting sequels out, their going to turn the franchise into a joke like all those crappy slasher-flick sequels from the 80's. I really hope this is the last one, but if it makes as much money as the others, they'll keep churning them out for a LONG TIME!
only problem with your hope is that they have already greenlit Saw V and Saw VI. THEN the series should be over, as Tobin Bell (JigSaw) signed on for 5 sequels before Saw 2, so "Saw VI" would be his last one. the series is great thus far, but the higher they go, the more chance for gore and ruining the story. here's to hoping for a great blend of both and that they don't mess it up. lol.
Interesting... I was not aware of that. Anyway, I also like the series, but it's kind of a formulaic premise and it WILL run its course. People already seemed to be burned out on the so-called "torture-porn" genre (which is a ridiculous name btw). Hostel 2 opened to less than half of what the original did in its opening weekend, so Saws continued success isn't set in stone, even if the movie is good.
*shrugs* I'm too cowardly to watch the trailer right now. Maybe tomorrow. Disregarding whatever amazingness the SAW series has, I'm not about to go back on my word not to watch a SAW film for this one.
Same here... I finally saw Saw III last week and I was pretty dissapointed with it. I wonder if this one will be any good at all.
I thought Saw 3 was the weakest out of the lot, still enjoyed it and will be buying the directors cut when its released late this year. I just hope number 4 is as good as 1/2
Are you fucking kidding!? I watched the very first scene of saw3 and that was enough to scare me out of watching any of the others
So was the first "Halloween" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street." We all know what happened there. I can wait 'til the straight-to-DVD extravaganza "Saw 8 - Jigsaws REVENGE". After that "Saw 9 - Jigsaw Goes to Hell!", and then "Saw 10 - A New Beginning." After twenty years of sequels. A famous musician turned-director will reinvent the franchise for a whole new audience! His name will be Tom Vampire! (Thank you!... I'll be here all week)
