Escape the Fate

I figured that seeing as how I'm going to Taste of Chaos later this year, I'd check them out. The jury's still out for me, but what do you guys think?

haha i thought he was a girl before too but he's a dude.

and i think they're the best new band out there today with LoveHateHero. i saw them in hollywood and they're fucking crazy. it was SO much fun.

 

I used to like their music a lot. Now I dislike it. I got really, really sick of their music after listening for a while. IMO, the screaming doesn't really fit. Maybe they're better live, I wouldn't know, but yeah. -_-

 

After further listens, I can honestly say there are some songs I really do like, but the screaming ones not so much. I thought one reviewer on PunkNews put it well, saying the screaming is somewhat like "having Corpsegrinder from Cannibal Corpse make a cameo on a Good Charlotte CD".

 

I've liked this band for a while now. Good stuff, even though their older material sounds like a From First To Last rip off, lol.

 

Oh boy am I with holding a lot of emotions about this band.

 

Care to explain ? I'm hazarding a guess they're not good emotions, not that I really care how much you want to rip on them if that's the case

 

Hmm, frustrated.

I heard them playing in a record store last year, i asked who they were, went home and downloaded, loved, then 3 months later they are on TV and everyone has their opinion on them *sigh* I hate when that happens But Alas.


Excellent music, i love them a lot.

And Ronnie is gorgeous

 

Hmm...why do they have judas priest, metallica in their t shirts? I don't see how those bands influenced their mediocre music.

 

They sound pretty good, but their whole appearance is...erm?..

 

Thats the exact reason as tp why I dont show people what the band looks like or tell them who they are when I show them the music.

they were one of the best bands at Warped this year, and I think that sets them apart from the rest of the cliche bands they sound like, personally.

 

who do you think they sound like?

 

they're alright. i'm not sure what you guys mean about the screaming not fitting, i think it fits pretty well although they scream far to often (hear: the guillotine, personally i think it's alright), my personal favourite is The Day I Left The Womb. My sister likes em, she also likes my chemical romance, the used, taking back sunday if that helps.

 

I'll probably say, In my opinion, while their lyrics are fairly generic emo/screamo, Radke does a decent job of putting some emotion into them. Plus, the guitarist seems to be able to play pretty well at times, particularly over the last chorus of "Situations".

 

i recommend "my apocalypse"

 

I already have two warnings, I want to stay here for a little while longer if you know what I mean.

And just because you wear the shirt doesn't mean you were influenced by them. You know there is such thing as liking the band you wear on your clothing.

Unless your Mikey Way and feel the need to wear that damn Anthrax shirt.
