It'd be the funniest thing ever if Scott Parker and whoever else has joined West Ham and then they get rellegated in that tribunal thing. Can't see it happening though.
yeah definetly...Not particularly sure why would the tribunal even consider sending West Ham down! There's only one team complaining(Sheffield United) shouldnt the others complain too if there was really something funny going on...right now the Blades dont look like they have a solid case...
I think they signed him outright from that company that owned him, and even if West Ham didn't sign him properly they barely ever played him.
The funniest thing I read all season was Reina getting robbed during the Chelsea/Pool CL game. Thieving Scousers. I hope no one here is from Liverpool. I'm Sorry...in advance.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=426940 In other news. Apparently United are in for Fabio Quagliamsandhgugfwbgfivbhsebskjbgkdbnvgjnbvjvnldnkfjbnkf. He's claimed we've hit Sampdoria with an increased bid.
Where the hell would Quagliarella fit in with your team though? I don't know much about him but from what I know, he's an attacking midfielder who can also play on the wings and up front. But surely you don't need him with the purchases of Anderson and Nani...
people should start looking at Sevilla's right back...he's so good that the team's attacking plan actually revolves around him....ive never seen attack center around a RIGHT BACK before....
He's a support striker apparently, like about 4 or 5 other players we have so I don't see the need. Maybe he can lead the line aswell.
So Thierry is off. I think it's a big mistake. He's loved at Arsenal, hell, to an extent he is Arsenal. He'll never find the same love he had at Arsenal with Barcelona. Barca are just rich bastards who want another star added to their squad, just look at their front line already: Messi, Eto'o and Ronaldinho not to mention Gudjonsen, Guily and Saviola as back-ups. The departure of David Dein was surely a factor in his decision. The board really fucked up by sacking him because that has casted a shadow over many people's futures at Arsenal. My fear now is that our morale will drop considerably like it did when Vieira left. If that happens then we wont do well next season and that might be all she wrote for Wenger and that would mean the departure of many of our players. The thing that kills me most though is that there is hardly any loyalty in football anymore. Thierry signed a new four-year deal last season and said he would finish his career here. In fact just last month he said his long term future was at Arsenal... Of course this is just the negative side of things. On the positive side maybe this is a blessing in disguise. I mean United sold Van Nistlerooy and ended up winning the league. I don't see that happening for us but perhaps we'll go out next season trying to prove that we don't need Henry. It's a shame though because it looks like we'll never get to see an Henry/Torres partnership. But with all that said, I wish Thierry the best of luck at Barca. Regardless of whether I think he's wrong to leave, in the past 8 years he's put on some magnificant displays and won us watches single-handed. He'll be missed by everyone associated with Arsenal (whether they'd like to admit it or not) because he is truly an Arsenal legend both on and off the field.
This is quite big news IMO and perhaps confirmation that Wenger won't be at Arsenal in 2008/09. I don't think this is really comparable to Van Nistelrooys departure. The reason we won the league was not because Ruud left, but rather because Saha was first choice. Ruud was somewhat of a hinderance to our free-flowing attacking football because he was more of a goal poacher than a complete team player like Saha. Arsenal play the same way with or without Henry so I don't think it will mean the same. Perhaps this season will be pivotal for your players. They can either step up and forge a new great Arsenal side by sticking with the club , or say "Now Thierry's gone, I have to get off this sinking ship". It's just that your key players like Fabregas haven't pledged their loyalty to Arsenal, rather to Arsene Wenger, which gives me the indication that you might lose him and others when Wenger leaves. We'll see I guess.
