Dead By Sunrise Album On Hold

    Chester Bennington recently sat down with Launch Radio Network for an interview and the subject of his solo project Dead By Sunrise came up. To reply, Chester put to rest any speculation the album will be out anytime soon.

    "I was actually pretty deep into recording my other project, called Dead By Sunrise, and we were really far into the record. And then, you know, LP got together and we all decided that we wanted to make a record and start as soon as possible. So Linkin Park takes the lead, you know what I mean? So I stopped working on the record and I'll be finishing it up while we're touring over these next couple of years, and it'll be ready to go out."

    For a few years on touring? Does that mean that the next LP album won't be till at least 3-5 years ahead of time from Minutes To Midnight?

    And its ashame that we don't get to hear anything from Dead By Sunrise.

    Haha I love it when they post news about LP on Bladdermouth (and no thats not a mis spelling on my part). Its hilarious reading their comments.

    my assumption is that we won't see Dead By Sunrise until late 2008, maybe early 2009 and a new LP in mid-late 2010.

    that's what I thought too. I swear the quote from Chester was something along the lines of it being finished and waiting for release, but that Minutes To Midnight was taking priority on releases and that "if the music is great on the CD that it will still be good a year or two later when it's released". something along those lines

    Linkin Park will be out in like 2010/2011

    and Dead By Sunrise in like 2013-14

    This makes me upset. I mean, if its worth the wait, then ill be okay with it. But, honestly, I was really dissapointed by MTM, so to have the same sort of wait for this does not make me happy.

    I'll admit M2M was well worth the wait, but.. that's just too long of a wait. I'll be twenty-two, more than likely a single mother of at least three and probably listening to the 'rent's old Mexican Folk music cassettes. Jesus >_<

    As for Dead By Sunrise, I hope the wait isn't too long. I'm really excited to hear Chester's side project.

    (I was going to spell it "projekt" for some reason :rolleyes:

    I hope not... :( I mean the release of the album!

    I want to know what's this album going to sound like... I really want it to be rock-ish and push Chester's screaming's to his limit... that'd be awesome!

    You're misunderstanding something. It's not a "new" Linkin Park project that gets in the way, it's Minutes to Midnight that got in the way of Chesters project. So it'll be Dead By Sunrise in 2008 - 2009 and that's bad news for Linkin Park. I thought Chester said that LP would release the next records faster now that they've found they're new direction:(

    As long as anyone in the band releases good music i'm happy. Hopefully over the wait they release some b-sides on the singles and on the LPU cd.

    Is dead by sunrise meant to be more punk like I heard in some interviews or more electronic like julien-k?

    first I read, dead by sunrise would be released soon...and then - couple of years? wtf?

    i guess that they'll release another live AND remix album until then...
    funny-first of all they say that the whole releasing process will work faster now, and then this comes up...

    DAMN
